    Questions about sects in Islam?

I heard that people who have greater imaan are tested more, does this mean that people who have little to no imaan have better lives in the dunya? is it true that one of the benefits of following the saved sect is protection from long term oppression in the dunya? can members of deviant sects enter Jannah, and are the Sufis, such as the gulen movement or naqshbandis or mawlawis condemned to hell? gulenists believe in pacifism, that Christians and jews can go to heaven, that music and insurance and chess are not forbidden, and they believe in conservative western democracy

Re: Questions about sects in Islam?

    Greetings and peace be with you Mustafa16;

If someone murders, we can make judgements about human crimes, but only Allah will be the judge as to who gains salvation. If I should achieve salvation, it will not be through my own efforts, rather, it will be through the grace, mercy and forgiveness of our God. I have family and friends of many faiths and no faith, I pray for this same salvation for all people.

In the spirit of praying to a just and merciful God.

You will never look into the eyes of anyone who does not matter to God.

Re: Questions about sects in Islam?

    1) People who have greater Imaan are tested more; yet, they have better lives, because they are closer to Allaah Ta`aalaa. As a result, they have the happiest lives in the world and in the Aakhirah as well.

    2) Following the true Deen has innumerable benefits. It will save you both in the Dunyaa and in the Aakhirah, In Shaa Allaah.

    3) Members of deviant sects will also enter Jannah, In Shaa Allaah, provided they did not have such beliefs (`Aqaa'id) which rendered their Imaan null and void.

    4) Any sect - whether it be the Gulenists or other than them - that believes Christians and Jews will go to Jannah, has committed open Kufr because this belief entails rejecting the Qur'aan. This is because Allaah Ta`aalaa has informed us in the Qur'aan that after the coming of Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم, He will not accept any Deen other than Islaam. Before Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم, those Christians and Jews who truly believed in Allaah (true Tawheed) and in their Ambiyaa, will all go to Jannah, In Shaa Allaah. The Qur'aan also informs us that after the coming of Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم, those Jews and Christians who do not accept Islaam are doomed to Jahannam, wal-`Iyaadhu Billaah.

    5) Democracy is a religion on its own, and totally in conflict with Islaam. As Muslims, we believe that the right of legislation belongs to Allaah Ta`aalaa Alone, and not to people.

Re: Questions about sects in Islam?

Allah and his Prophet hate sects and so should we like this hadith & the verses are clear cut

    BUKHARI Volume 4, Book 56, Number 803 :
    Narrated by Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman
The people used to ask Allah's Apostle about good, but I used to ask him about evil for fear that it might overtake me. Once I said,"O Allah's Apostle! We were in ignorance and in evil and Allah has bestowed upon us the present good; will there by any evil after this good?" He said, "Yes." I asked, "Will there be good after that evil?" He said, "Yes, but it would be tained with Dakhan(i.e. Little evil)." I asked, "What will its Dakhan be?" He said, "There will be some people who will lead (people) according to principles other than my tradition. You will see their actions and disapprove of them." I said, "Will there by any evil after thatgood?" He said, "Yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hell, and whoever accepts their invitationto it will be thrown in it (by them)." I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Describe those people to us." He said, "They will belong to usand speak our language" I asked, "What do you order me to do if such a thing should take place in my life?" He said, "Adhere to the group of Muslims and their Chief." I asked, "If there is neither a group (of Muslims) nor a chief (what shall I do)?" He said, "Keep away from all those different sects, even if you had to bite (i.e. eat) the root of a tree, till you meet Allah while you are still in that state."

Noble Quran 23:52-55 ''And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time.Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons.We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand.''

3:103 ''And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Quran), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided.''

3:105 ''And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment

3:19 ''Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah , then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.

6:159 ''Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do. (6:159)

4:165 And brought together their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.

45:17''And We gave them clear proofs of the matter [of religion]. And they did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.''
