Two must read books for muslims

    Report bad ads?

Muslims often talk about forming a caliphate now in this time and age.It is impossible to do so because of the grave and serious differences that Muslims have among themselves. The first and foremost thing is Aqeedah.Muslims must resolve the differences in Aqeedah to join together.Henceforth, these two books by two of the greatest scholors of Islam are must read for us all.We cannot possibly live together happily without resolving our differences, nor is it allowed in Islam to align with the misguided, especially among those who call themselves Muslims, since in that case, they are hypocrites. And the hypocrites are the worst of Allah's creation,May Allah not make us of them.

2-Usool us Sunnah by Ahmad Ibn Hanbal,May Allah have mercy upon him.

There are also books which explain these books such as Sharh al Aqeedah Al Wasitiyyah by Ibn Uthaymeen,May Allah have mercy on him.

Re: Two must read books for muslims

I have Alhumdu lillah read that small book. There are many things in that book which clearly show that they misunderstand the Salafi Manhaj. Also I must impress upon you and the writers of this book that one cannot simply quote those scholors without even mentioning the reference of that quote. There is literally no reference provided except for Quranic verses and Ahadiths.None for the quotes of the scholors. This is especially important to me and us Salafis since we are aware of many lies spoken against these scholors specially against Ibn Taymiyyah, and those too by followers of your sect or by the Rafidah. You must provide reference.I will mention one very important example. Some people alleged that Ibn Taymiyyah called Ibn Umar an innovator. When we read the reference,we realized that this claim of theirs raised serious questions on their credibility.Since either they did not know Arabic, which would imply that they are fake scholors,or that they were willingly lying. Both reasons are strong enough to shun them.Henceforth, you must provide reference. If those Scholors who wrote that book really did read the works of Ibn Taymiyyah, why not mention the reference? It does not require extra effort. This is a serious question. There is reference for only one quote of Ibn Taymiyyah, from Minhaj Us Sunnah, and one of Ibn Abdul Wahhab. Both from books which are easily available. No reference for the quote of Ibn AL Qayyim,Literally no reference for the quotes of Al-Shawkaani.This is shocking. This book is meant for the lay Muslims. Not for the scholors.I cannot trust especially those reports regarding Al-Shawkaani.
But aside from that,I disagree with the book and am more than willing to discuss it.
    And Allah knows best.

I like to call myself as a Muslim instead of following a particular sect or a set of scholars. It, in most of the cases, entails shirk fil risalat where the scholars are elevated as infallible.

I respect all the scholars of all the sects. I take what is good and leave what is bad.

Sh ibn taimiyya and sh ibn qayyim both are respectable scholars.

This book is based on criticism of classification of tawheed, a new invented idea as proven by the author but you disagree to it.

This kind of discussion should be done in segregated section instead of open forum.

Will you start another thread there...?

Oh... You are back after a long time. I didnot notice that we have already discussed this kind of disputed issue there. Your still the same....!

Anyways, resume that thread, instead of starting a new one.
