We need to be careful of using slogans like LOVE EVERYONE.

WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL OF USING SLOGANS LIKE “LOVE EVERYONE”.

There is a huge difference between loving everyone and loving good for everyone. Also, one needs to understand that loving someone may be due to natural love, such as one has for a parent, a child, a spouse or someone who does us a favour and love for what a person believes in and stands for. The issue isn’t all that complicated, we just need to think a little.

It is not uncommon that one may love and hate a person at the same time; love them for one reason and hate them for another. Have we forgotten what Allah says?

قَدْ كَانَتْ لَكُمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ إِذْ قَالُوا لِقَوْمِهِمْ إِنَّا بُرَآءُ مِنْكُمْ وَمِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ كَفَرْنَا بِكُمْ وَبَدَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ

{There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone.." (60:4)

LET US ALSO NOT FALL FOR THE TRAP WHEREBY SOME (FALSELY) CLAIM THAT HATRED NECESSARILY LEADS TO INJUSTICE AND VIOLENCE.

We are ordered to hate the unbelievers, but we are, at the same time, ordered to be just. If this was not possible, Allah would not have commanded both things.

وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا ۚ اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ

{…and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.} (5:8)

Many ignorant Muslims don’t understand their own Religion, so they repeat slogans because they sound beautiful and nice to them. This too is part of following in the footsteps of the kuffar until they lead you to the lizard’s hole.
