    Re: Translation Offered

    وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

    Respected brother farhan,

    Here is what you have requested, plus an addition to that:

    -----------------

    "All praises are due to Allaah Ta`aalaa Alone, Who has perfected everything which He has created, and Who has originated the creation of Insaan (Mankind) from clay. And, I testify that there is no Ilaah besides Allaah, Who is Alone, without any partners.

    It is He (Himself) Who has intended whatever His creation do (by His Hikmah), and, were He to have protected them (from sin), they would not have opposed Him. And, had He willed for them all to obey Him, they would have done so.

    And, I testify that our Sayyid (Master), our Nabi, Muhammad, is His slave and Rasool (Messenger). He (Rasoolullaah Sallallaahu `Alayhi wa Sallam) conveyed to us the Risaalah (Divine Message) of Allaah Ta`aalaa, and was sincere (and advised) for Him, amongst His creations, so may Allaah Ta`aalaa reward him with the best reward any Nabi was ever rewarded with, on behalf of (us), his Ummah.

    May the Salaah and Salaam of Allaah Ta`aalaa and the pious Malaa'ikah of His creation be upon him (Rasoolullaah Sallallaahu `Alayhi wa Sallam), as he had made Tawheed of Allaah Ta`aalaa (i.e. delcared His Oneness), had recognised Him (and informed us about Him), and gave Da`wah (Called others) towards Him. O Allaah! (And send Salaah and Salaam also) upon his family and companions, and upon all of those who follow in his (Mubaarak) footsteps and follow his Hidaayah (guidance) with Ihsaan (goodness) until the Day of Qiyaamah.

    Thereafter, these are some Ta'ammulaat Qur'aaniyyah (Qur'aanic Reflections); reflections regarding the Kalaam (Speech) of Rabb-ul-`Aalameen, Jalla Jalaaluh.

    The Qur'aan points out towards - as (Imaam) Qataadah Rahimahullaah had said - that, no one sits with the Qur'aan and ponders over it, except that he stands up and either his Imaan has increased, or his Imaan has decreased.

    Allaah Ta`aalaa says:

    {"And We send down from the Qur'aan that which is a Shifaa (Healing) and a Rahmah (Mercy) to the Mu'mineen; and as for the Zhaalimeen (oppressors; wrongdoers), it does not increase them except in loss."}

    -------------

    The first minute and 30 seconds of the speech by `Abdullaah al-Maghaamisi.

    With Allaah Ta`aalaa's Fadhl, I completed the `Aalim Faadhil course last month, Alhamdulillaah, and graduated with an M.A in Arabic and Islaamic Studies. I only mention this so that people can know that I am not some kind of fraudster or charlatan; Alhamdulillaah, I have studied the Deen for many years. I began studying Arabic (Nahw, Sarf) back in 2006, so have been studying Arabic for a decade now, Alhamdulillaah.

    I have written and translated 24 Kitaabs up till now, on a variety of different topics: `Aqeedah, Fiqh, Hadeeth, Rudood, Taareekh, Arabic, etc.

    I used to be regular on SunniForum, until it became inactive. I have been off forums for quite a while, but decided to join again for the purpose of Tableegh-ul-`Ilm, In Shaa Allaah.

    جزاك الله خيراً

    Jazaa = recompense/reward
    kum = you (plural)
    Allahu = Allah
    Ahsan = the best
    ul jazaa = of recompense, reward

    May Allah recompense you (with) the best of recompenses.
    Or May Allah reward you (with) the best of rewards.

    السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

    What does the word رُبي mean exactly?
    Often used as رُبي القدس for example.
    Something like ''place, area'' I think, but maybe you know the exact translation?
    Jazakallahu Khayran.

    Re: Can anyone please translate this?

    Assalamu alaykum,

    This is the Ayatul Kursi, the 255th ayah of Surah al-Baqara. Here's the translation:

    Allah! There is no deity save Him, the Alive, the Eternal.
    Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him.
    Unto Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth.
    Who is he that intercedes with Him save by His leave?
    He knows that which is in front of them and that which is behind them,
    while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will.
    His throne includes the heavens and the earth,
    and He is never weary of preserving them.
    He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.

    And Allah swt knows best

    Okay, and unfortunately I'm not sure what it means, someone with knowledge of Arabic can help inshaAllah.

    I can read the title part which is in Urdu and it's saying 'Dua to seek protection from waswas.'

    I don't think it is an ayat from the Qur'an, or at least I don't recognise it.
