1. Islam teaches that the Bible has been very altered and changed throughout history; in other words, corrupted.

13) ARGUMENT FROM ERRORS OF THE QUR'AN VS. ERRORS OF THE BIBLE

1. The contradicting parts of the Bible cannot be taken literally. You must read between the lines and analyze deeper meaning of the verses. You also need to consider minor errors in translation & be careful that you do not misunderstand the context.
2. However, I will take the contradicting parts of the Qur'ân as literally as I can.
3. This will cause the Qur'ân to look very contradictory, and my Bible to look close to error-free.
4. This makes me feel very good.

14) ARGUMENT FROM DIVISIONS

1. Islam teaches that God's forgiveness can be attained by sincere repentance & great deeds in this life.
2. I refuse to believe this, because if it is true I cannot do whatever I want anymore.
3. Therefore, accepting Jesus is the only way, because it makes me happy and gives me a great life.

17) ARGUMENT FROM CHURCH DOCTRINE

1. Whenever I encounter contradicting verses regarding Jesus' divinity, I remind myself of the Trinity and feel very enlightened.
2. Even though I cannot find the Trinity in the Bible, the Church teaches me that it's correct.
3. I have gone to Church since I was a little boy.
4. Because of that, I believe the Church, and it must be true.
5. Obviously, Christianity must be true because of #4, which supports that it is the religion of God.
6. Islam claims that the Trinity is a lie.

18) ARGUMENT FROM MY PASTOR SAYS

1. Our pastor says that the Qur'ân is from the devil.
2. Therefore, Islam is false.

19) ARGUMENT FROM POLYGAMY

1. Islam teaches polygamy.
2. Even though it is taught in the Bible, you have to read between the lines and also find other verses which contradict it.
3. I also disagree with polygamy, personally.
4. I do not think God would allow polygamy.
5. Therefore, Islam is false.

20) ARGUMENT FROM ALLAH IS A MOON GOD

1. Robert Morey claims that Allah means "Moon God" and that Muslims worship a moon god.
2. The Qur'ân contradicts this claim.
3. Arabic dictionaries contradict this claim as well.
4. Since "Allah" means God in Arabic, and is found in the Arabic version of the Christian Bible, this would mean that I am worshipping a moon god as well.
5. I do not like this idea.
6. However, Robert Morey has a website where he posts articles against Islam.
7. He must be an intellectual.
8. Therefore, all or most of his claims must be true.

1. The Qur'ân sometimes talks in the form of "We" such as "We created the Heavens."
2. The Qur'ân is therefore talking of a plural form of God, which automatically proves the Trinity, and that Islam is bogus.

37) ARGUMENT FROM NO RESEARCH NECESSARY

1. I think the Bible shows me the complete truth.
2. My parents are Christian. So are their parents, and their parents' parents were Christian as well.
3. Since the Qur'ân contradicts my Holy Bible, it is obvious to conclude that it cannot be the word of God.
4. Therefore it must be the word of Muhammad, the false Prophet.
5. No matter what it teaches, or what its scripture is like, it cannot be true, because of points 1 through 3.

1. There are some people that converted from Islam to Christianity.
2. The converts from Christianity to Islam are stupid, misinformed, uneducated, and/or led astray by Satan and should be completely disregarded.

1. There are websites on the Internet created by Christians that claim that Islam is false.
2. Since the material on the websites is from Christians against Muslims, it must be true.

1. I want to make Islam look bad. Islam is false.
2. That's why I ignore specific Muslim refutals to my arguments, and simply repeat them many times. Islam is false, pure and simple.
3. What I can answer, I answer. What I can't, I ignore. I shouldn't really pay attention to anything Muslims say, because remember? Islam is false.
4. With this I succeed in making Islam look bad, and Christianity look good. Islam deserves to look bad, since it disagrees with my Holy Book. That's why it's false. However, I avoid debates just because the people I would debate are Muslims who are deceived by demons and are not worthy of debate. I will therefore hide behind messageboards and reply to only what I can reply to. The rest I will ignore, and of course: repeat my statements many times. It makes me look like an intellectual. And intellectuals know that Islam is false.
5. I lack the intellgence to understand how stupid I come out when I do these things, but hey - winning people to Christ is a bonus, no matter what the means are.
6. If I take verses out of context and twist them around, while asking ridiculous questions, and insulting Islam as much as I can - it must be that Jesus intended for me to do this. For example; I will repeatedly ask if muslims should kill me because I'm an infidel. Then I will repeatedly state that Muhammad killed, without giving any background on it. After that, I will post verses from the Qur'ân that are violent and make Islam look like a brutal religion full of terror. If someone adds the proper context and/or explains the verses I posted, I will ignore that, and go to other things, such as sexual pleasure in heaven, and so on; you see my point. Islam is false.
7. And really, I mean come on, it is so extremely and painfully obvious that Islam is false. I wouldn't have to do any of these things to prove that really, but it can't hurt. The more souls I convert to Christ, the better bonus I receive from Jesus in heaven (I hope).
8. Christiantiy is true. I know this, I absolutely do. I know a hundred percent that Christianity is true. And I apologize to Muslims, I love you, I don't want you to go to hell, please accept Jesus. Islam is false.
9. Another thing I would like to say is that I only debate naive people so I can look like an enlightened follower of Jesus Christ. Whenever certain Muslim scholars challenge me for debate, I avoid it in some way, and when they are not looking I talk trash about them behind their back, and play Mr. Intellect with my Christian peers on message boards.
10. Muslims - I love you. But you will go to hell. I know I shouldn't judge who is going to hell, but I will do so anyways.

I don't think any religion is "false" per se. I think pretty much that all religions share common themes. We all believe in a deity or higher power of some sort. We believe in living a life that encourages love and goodness. I see all major religions as being potential paths to higher understanding and truth - potential paths in the sense that they can provide a structure in which an individual can truly seek to live by love instead of fear. Its simply the manner in which we worship that is different.

While you are certainly correct that all religions preach good and encourage morality, to say that they're all equal is to say that they're all false. Religions have vast differences in teachings when it comes to God, the origin of creation, the purpose in life, and the afterlife. Two mutually contradictory beliefs cannot both be true. Either one is wrong and the other is right, (or vice versa), or they're both wrong.

The way is one. Two straight paths running in two different directions will not lead to the same place.

Islam was the original message preached by all the Prophets of God, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon them all. The messages of religions have simply been changed, except for God's final revelation, which He has vowed to protect Himself. All previous messages were entrusted to their nations to preserve, but they were unable to preserve their messages.

And after all, you don't know what I as a christian feel when I read that stuff, wheter I am insulted or not. I think you should try and look into your heart to find the real reason as to why you want to have this post out. Is it because you think Islam is the only truthfull religion? One sis who frequented our forums was convinced Islam is the truth

In fact the Bible says that a christian man do not have to leave his wife even so if she is not a christian. Through him and his faith in God his wife will also become holy (according to Bible, when two are married they become one..). So therefor I see no reason as to why she had to deny her faith. But obviously there could be problems, what faith would the children have, etc. Eventually one of them would have to give in.

First of all, the sources of Islam are the Qur'an and the Sunnah, period. Neither Maududi, nor anyone else defines the true Islamic teachings - you have to go back to the Qur'an and the sunnah. So if you want to prove something about Islam you have to quote for me from the Qur'an and Ahadith and substantiate your claim from that. Some anti-islamists have tried to compiled a list of misquoted verses and ahadith to support their claims, yet all such claims have been debunked here:

No disrespect to christians or muslims or either respective faith, but it just seems to me that usually the arguments to debunk the claims of the other and "prove" the "truth" of one own, are usually really quite the same just from one side of the fence and then the other. The "proof" that is offered is usually from the Bible or the Quran. While the bible is proof enough for a christian, it is not for a muslim, and vice versa. Other "proof" is offered in the form of literature, documents, media coverage, etc, usually from a biased source that favors one view over the other.
I guess I am just trying to say that both sides cannot actually be proved (in this life anyway), although one "sees" thier evidence as proof the other cannot. Why? Because what is necessary to see the evidence the same way is faith in the same way. Both sides feel strongly. Both deserve respect. Sometimes the arguments in here lack that respect. I am as guilty of that as anyone. And I apologize to any I've offended. Peace to all.
