There are several diagrams and tables that I would like to post for the articles in the refutation and it won't let me, because they are large.

Yet, shrinking them would lose the content.

Could we increase the attachment size, please?

May Allah swt reward you.

The file is 217.6 kb. If it will be too much trouble, don't bother.

I posted the tables on another forum and linked them, so I think that's okay. I think I should make the pics smaller.

Is jpg the smallest type?

But doesn't saving them as gif make it lose some colour information or something?

That's why it's smaller, yes.

Not to brag, but I am a computer MASTER (for windows machines :p)

Besides I've built several computers for different people and usually maintain several throughout the day.

(I tried to pm you, but apparently, your PM folder is full!!!)

:shade: Same here; I guess that's something alot of us have in common on this forum. One is a computer master, and another is a programmer . . . I make Islamic Software myself as well so I think I'm not bad either, but Abdalla's PM folder is still full so I sent PMs to Khaldun and Mukhtar instead. And it sounds like an eay job anyway, as long as its to do with computers; I'm fine with that. Actually I'm quite interested in that moderator job stuff anyway. Can you give people rep power as well if you are a moderator?

I've tried my hand at programming, I usually stick to basic, and occasionally C++ and perl scripts.

Java makes me want to hate sun, but I love sun microsystems machines. They're so nice. Mmmm Solaris.

What decides the attachment size for members?
I have seen other members attach larger than 1MB files and I get only 195.3KB for mp3 and rm files

I usually get same problem when I want attach something, so I stick to:

http://www.4shared.com/

They give you 1 GB for free, and no expiring date, so your files will stay there.

For larger pictures and files it is good to use free hosting services like image shack or other services which allow file hosting.

ESPECIALLY for large files (1MB+) this eliminates problems like :
-moving servers and attachments adding to the bulk
which can be a headache for larger forums if users start posting nasheeds etc...

just imagine 20 users each posts 4 nasheeds 2 MB each....thats 160MB right there

So best to keep limit between 500kb to 800kb which is usually oki doki I think in most cases for most pictures and smaller files.

just my 2 cents

How do you allow us to upload a file from a URL? What is the technique used? I want to use this kind of feature for my website.
