i know of this one? similiar
Narrated Muawiya: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "If Allah wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion. I am just a distributor, but the grant is from Allah. (And remember) that this nation (true Muslims) will keep on following Allah's teachings strictly and they will not be harmed by any one going on a different path till Allah's order (Day of Judgment) is established." (Book #3, Hadith #71)

:-[ Sorry, not quite, but I'll tell you what it says in the hadith . . . :shade:
The Prophet (saw) is reported to have said: I leave you with two matters, if you follow them, you will never go astray; the book of Allah, and the example of His Prophet (saw)"
:D Now that should be a little bit easier Insha-Allah . . . :p :p :p ;)

Welcome to the Forum . . .
:D I noticed you are not very familiar with how we go about the hadith challenge; basically all types of questions are put forward as a challenge, and the one who answers them correctly get's rep points. :D The Hadith teach basically; the Quran in detail. Ahadith books consist of two types of narration: Hadith (Saying of the Prophet (saw)) and Athar (Saying of anyone other than the Prophet (saw)) . . .
Authenticiation Testing:
- Channel of Narration (who narrate's it)
- Quranic Compatibility (is it compatible with the Quran)
- Ta'weel fil-Iman (check what it means)

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters,
by Akmal Hasan
Narrated : Abdullah ibn Mas'ud
MISHKAT AL-MASABIH
No: 0166
Allah's Messenger (peace_be_upon_him) drew a line for us and then said: That is the path shown by Allah. Then he drew several other lines on his right and left sides and said: These are the paths on every side of which there is a devil calling towards it. He then recited this verse: `Verily this path of Mine is straight so adhere it.' (5:167)
Transmitted by Ahmad, Nasa'i and Darimi.
THE STRAIGHT PATH.
He Rasulallah (sallallahu 'alaihi wassalam) once drew a line,
The man so great so sublime.
And he (sallallahu 'alaihi wassalam) said, “This is my Path”
All other trails obtain Allah’s Wrath.
And again he drew some more lines joining that line
A devil sitting on each of these, calling people to join.
So people, never jaywalk leaving the True Way.
If you do, your own soul you betray.
Such an easy and clear path he showed
The Mercy of Allah on which is bestowed.
So dear people why should one stray?
When the road to success is before us lay.
This Straight Path of Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wassalam) is our only way,
All other alleys, short cuts, trails etc goes astray.
Hold on with your molar teeth on this path was his advice,
Only fools ignore it, and the one that heeds is wise.

:D As for the answer for Hadithul-Amarain; it is simply about Following the Quran and Sunnah, please refer to Mu`atta Imam Malik: Chapter 46: Hadith number 3.

:D Never mind :sister: Khal_75; I'll answer it myself (Surah Luqman 31: verse 34 (Last verse)):
Verily, with ALLAH alone is the knowledge of the Hour. And HE sends down the rain, and HE knows what is in the wombs. And no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Surely, ALLAH is All-Knowing, All-Aware.

:) Some muhadditheen used to check their ahadith that they collected, before putting them together, similarly Imam Bukhari; to start-off had quite alot of ahadith compared to the very few you'll find in Saheeh al-Bukhari. The reason being that alot of ahadith were taken out; due to repetition and obvious broken channels (chains of narration) and also alot of un-checked ahadith were left out by Bukhari. The question is: Who took some of those left-out ahadith and compile a seperate Hadith book?

:( Yes, it is quite sad; that many people didn't get one of the easiest questions asked in this thread right. It is Bukhari, I answered quite alot of my own questions before also. It may just be that people need to be woken up, and told to do something constantly, before they get into it. Ahadith study is very important; as today you'll come across many mis-understandings and divisions and all sorts of other trouble regarding how one understands the Sunnah of the Prophet :arabic5:, the answer is a very few. The common excuse is; "I follow such and such" and "It's the scholars; that are to blame 100%", but one has to take some responsibility. Every second person talks about fighting and killing; when they don't understand the very basics of Islam; they go into their "scholar-mode" and end up making all sorts of fatwas and so the era of Jahiliyyah over-comes the Muslim Ummah . . . :'(

Hadith of the two weighty things?
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: I am leaving for you two precious and weighty things (ath-Thaqalayn) that if you adhere to BOTH of them you shall not go astray after me. They are the Book of Allah and my progeny (descendents), that is my Ahl al-Bayt (People of the House - Family of Mohammad). The Merciful has informed me that these two shall not separate from each other till they come to me by the Pool (of Paradise).

Brother, I think you are trying to teach like an Alim course to kids. They will not pick up most of the information you throw at them anyway; so why bother. It is obviously very hard for people who are kept away from Hadith by their Imams and other so-called religious leaders and scholars. You do remember that I was in that position at one time. But online teaching isn't as effective as the classroom or one-to-one style.
I picked up what you used to teach in Islamic Societies quite fast compared to this, because I think it was just a different environment. I don't mean to disapoint anyone, but I see people go to forums just to spend a little bit of their time there; its a way of avoiding bordom, not to gain knowledge. That's another reason why you cannot really teach online. And at this day and age; no-one else even cares about guidence and unity. They each think they are upon the straight path and everyone else is fee dhalaalim-mubeen. You will get a very small amount of people; who are even very reluctantly willing to translate a small hadith you posted in the Arabic thread. Brother Ali posted it on another forum and got a stupid reply for it also.

Jazakallah khair for sharing your thoughts, InshaAllah I will address a few points which you made.
but I see people go to forums just to spend a little bit of their time there; its a way of avoiding bordom, not to gain knowledge
If 100 people visit this forum, and only 1 benefits akhee..then Alhamdulillah. Ahmed is doing a good job of sharing what knowledge he has with us. You are right that it is not the same as teaching one to one, but does that mean he should stop?? No.
If anything he has pleased his lord and he will be rewarded for all his efforts. :)
And at this day and age; no-one else even cares about guidence and unity. They each think they are upon the straight path and everyone else is fee dhalaalim-mubeen.
You are right, may Allah guide us all. But that is no reasoon for those that do care about "guidance and unity" to stop teaching.
Forgive me my words seem harsh, as it was not in my intention to upset anyone..just sharing my thoughts. :)

I remember reading about this in that link you provided about Muhammad's (saw) Biography...but unforunately it didn't mention about 'Imran. So I don't know who he was but I would guess that he found out about the Prophet (saw) by studying previous scriptures? :brother:

Oh yes sorry about that :-[ lol, ok I think I have the answer Insha'Allaah...
'Imran was the uncle of the prophet (saw):
The leader of Quraysh had a son called Mughirah, who had a son (amongst 4) called Amar, who had a son called Shaiba, who had 12 sons of whom 2 were Abdulla and 'Imran.
So Shaiba (also known as Abdul-Muttalib), the nephew of Muttalib (another son of Mughira), was the Prophet (saw)'s grandfather and 'Imran was the Prophet (saw)'s Uncle.
When Shaiba passed away, Muhammad (saw) -son of Abdullah - was in the care of 'Imran and so this is how they knew each other. 'Imran is the one who was taking Muhammad (saw) on a business trip when they met Bahirah the monk.
Btw - Ahmed, maybe it would help if you put a family tree in that Biography to make it easier to picture, if it's possible of course.

:) CLUE 2: It's in a chapter called Kitaabul-Qadr in one of those books; its the 3rd narration in that chapter. It is the only known Hadith in existence to be classified as Saheeh; without it containing a channel of narration.

Two:
لا تطروني كما اطرت النصارى المسيح ابن مريم, إنما انا عبدالله و رسوله فقولواعبدالله و رسوله
