Many islam-haters claim that there are problems in regarding the order of the verses in the Qur'an.
What was the basis of the ordering of the verses?

Thank you

Bro the order of verses in the Quran is simplay based on how the Prophet (sa) used to recite the Quran.

And surely he would sometimes recite the whole Quran in one sitting. And in Ramadan in Taravih prayers as well he used to recite the entire Quran

The Quran was not only written down but also memorized by many Muslism in the life time of the Prophet Mohammed (sa)

Masya Allah
Very quick reply!

One more thing , just to check my memory , the first verses revealed were Al Alaq 1-4 and the last was Al Maidah 3 , right?

Yep to all of that, but we should recite the whole qur'an within 3days and not within a lesser period.

One who reads the Qur'an in less than three days does not understand it. (Abu Da'ud, Tirmidhi).
