Christian Zionists teach Islam to US Cadets
US rights groups and military experts are criticizing the Air Force Academy for allowing born-again Evangelists (Zionist Christians) falsely claiming to be former Muslim terrorists to spread misconception about Islam.
David Antoon's (a 1970 graduate) Military Religious Freedom Foundation is suing the administration to combat creeping Evangelism in the armed forces.
Recently the Academy invited three self-described former terrorists – said Walid Shoebat, Kamal Saleem and Zachariah Anani – were invited to address cadets during a weeklong conference on terrorism.
The conference will result in a report on methods to combat terrorism to be sent to the Pentagon, members of Congress and other influential officials.
Prof. Douglas Howard, who teaches history of the modern Middle East, says the three are linked to major Christian Evangelical organizations. He recalls a speech by Saleem at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., last November - "It was just an old time gospel hour — ‘Jesus can change your life, he changed mine.' That is mixed in with 'Watch out America, wake up America, the danger of Islam is here.'"
One wonder why the three are allowed to move freely across the US if they are "ex-terrorists" at a time the US jails or deports anyone with a suspected terrorist connection, especially with an Arab name.
