View Full Version : U.S. bases targeted by Mujahideen as invaders make mass arrests

US bases throughout Iraq came under fire from Iraqi resistance fighters on Monday, with several attacks reported, as security forces carried out mass raids and detentions throughout Dhi Qar province in the south of the country.



In a dispatch posted at 12:05pm Baghdad time midday Monday, the Yaqen News Agency reported that several explosions rocked the US base in as-Saqlawiyah, 17km north of al-Fallujah (which is 60km west of Baghdad) on Monday morning.



Earlier, in a dispatch posted at 10:30am Baghdad time Monday morning, the Yaqen News Agency reported that three rockets blasted into the al-Habbaniyah base, jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet regime troops about 70km west of Baghdad.



At 5:57pm Baghdad time Monday evening, the Yaqen News Agency reported that 15 rockets blasted into the US Camp Cropper at Baghdad International Airport and at 9:15pm Baghdad time Monday night, the Yaqen News Agency reported that several mortar rounds landed on the US-occupied al-Bakr Air Base (dubbed Camp Anaconda by the Americans), about 70km north of Baghdad on Monday evening.



Two rockets also slammed into the area around the British base in al-Basra in southern Iraq Monday according to a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Baghdad time Monday evening by Yaqen.



US invader reported killed by sharpshooter near Bayji

In a dispatch posted at 10:15am Baghdad time Monday morning, the Yaqen News Agency reported that a marksman shot and killed a US occupation soldier in the as-Siniyah area, 15km west of Bayji (which is 200km north of Baghdad).



Yaqen reported eyewitnesses as saying that a sharpshooter opened fire on an American foot patrol in the as-Sikak neighborhood of as-Siniyah at dawn Monday, killing one of the US troops. Immediately afterwards, the Americans and their Iraqi puppet regime army allies surrounded the area as the US troops unleashed an indiscriminate barrage of gunfire at houses in the area. The witnesses said that a US helicopter evacuated the corpse of the US occupation soldier from the area. As of the time of reporting the US had made no comment on the incident.



Invaders carry out mass raids, arrests in Dhi Qar province

In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Baghdad time Monday evening, the Yaqen News Agency reported that security agencies of the US-installed Iraqi puppet regime carried out mass raids and searches in Dhi Qar Province in southern Iraq on Monday.



Yaqen reported a source in the US-backed provincial administration as saying that he raids took place in various locations and neighborhoods of an-Nasiriyah but declined to provide further details.



As the US takes steps to square off for a confrontation with Iran, American and puppet puppet regime forces have been increasingly targeting the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, the armed wing of the movement led by Shi‘i cleric Muqtada as-Sadr, which for some time had been a part of the US-backed puppet puppet regime.



In Baghdad and the cities of southern Iraq the Americans and their Iraqi puppet puppet regime allies have killed or captured a large number of the militia's commanders and cadres in recent months. The Jaysh al-Mahdi has also come into conflict with other, rival Shi‘i sectarian militias backed by the US and its Iraqi government as they vie for control of the southern part of the country.



Five more bodies found dumped around Baghdad



In a dispatch posted at 7:15pm Baghdad time Monday night, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the Iraqi puppet police forces recovered the bodies of five more victims of sectarian murder that had been dumped in various parts of Baghdad in the previous 24 hours.
