:salaam:

Where would i be without my dad?
Trust me, my whole life would be gloomy and sad

isnt he the one who raised me
isnt he the one who thought me my deen and islamic history

isnt he the one who wiped the sweat of his own face
as he worked to bring and comfort into my days

isnt he the one who strived in Allah's way
isnt he the one who taught me how to pray

isnt he the one who taught me the difference between right and wrong
isnt he the one who showed me where i belong

baba, father, daddy, whateever you may call him
he'll help you when your life becomes dim

My dad is the one who wept in the middle of the night
as he asked allah to guide me to do whats right

Dad punishes me when i do something dire*
but that makes my love for him go higher

Ah Allah! protect him and grant him your mercy
for you are the most merciful, the most mighty

*dire: bad deed, horrible

it's not that good i wrote it a while ago wen i was bored

MashaAllah, beautiful poem....
but for me really sad... all those things i missed out on growing up without a father.

Having a loving father is truely a blessing and should never be taken for granted.

Keep up with the poetry, its awesome!
