Hello Dalia.

Welcome to LI Islamic Forum. If you want to be a new Muslim and has full conviction and strong belief that Islam is the true religion of God, then, all one needs to do is pronounce the Shahadah, the testimony of faith, without further delay. The Shahadah is the first and most important of the five pillars of Islam.

“La ilah illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.” meaning “I testify that there is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and that Muhammad is a Messenger (Prophet) of God.”

If someone advices you to delay your conversion to Islam. This is also incorrect. If you believe Islam is the truth then you should not delay your conversion to Islam. You should convert immediately because we are given a certain lifespan. Since we do not know when we are going to die. Not even a minute should be lost as your time to leave this life may be up the next minute.

To become Muslim, all you have to do is believe in your heart, and pronounce the Shahadah (testimony of faith);

If you're ready now, you can recite this with your heart and tongue while having faith in the Lord of the Worlds;

(in arabic recite: ) Ash hadu an laa ilaaha ilAllaah, Muhammadun Rasool Allaah.

I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allaah.

Once you recite this, you are Muslim, you've joined the biggest faith community in the world! :) And we welcome you to Islam. I think you already know this, that there is nothing less than Paradise for the one who submits his or herself to Allah, and dies as a believer. And that all your previous sins and mistakes have been forgiven.

Here's a good link on learning how to pray with links to different sites;

http://www.islamicboard.com/prayer/41970-how-pray.html

Here's a good short video on youtube, explaining how to wear hijaab;

If you ever need more info, please don't hesitate to ask!

Peace sister.
