Ashkenazi fired commander of armored battalion for his failure

The Zionist mass media said that the chief of staff, the General Gabi Ashkenazi decided to isolate the armored battalion commander, who was responsible for "Karem Abu Salem" cross after it exposed to a Palestinian operation resulting the death of two of the cross employments.

The decision came based on the recommendation of what so called the leaders of South and Central regions in the Zionist army, after they checked the circumstances of the incident.

During the operation in Karm Abu Salim last week, Several Zionist soldiers were injured after Al Qassam men detonated four cars in Karm Abu Salim crossing southeast Gaza strip.

After the operation, the spokesman of the Zionist army, Avichay Adree, claimed that the Qassam men approached the crossing under heavy fire. The crossing came under mortar shells fire before the cars detonated.

Adree said that one of the attackers was murdered when he detonated his car, meanwhile the others could withdrew from the place and exchanged fire with Zionist soldiers.

"About thirteen soldiers were moderately to seriously wounded and were taken to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Al-Sabih," The spokesman of Zionist army said.

Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for the operation. Abu Obaida, Al Qassam Brigades spokesperson, said that 4 cars were detonated at Karm Abu Salim crossing and this operation aimed kidnapping Zionist soldiers.

Abu Obaida confirmed after this isolation to the commander of the armored battalion " Al Qassam Brigades is seeing this as a new victory to the resistance men, especially to Al Qassam Brigades".

Abu Obaida end his comments saying " These operations are part of the response campaign against the occupation assaults on the Gaza Strip, and the continued targeting of innocent Palestinian civilians and their installations in the West Bank".
