View Full Version : Thinking of Moving to Qatar

:sl:,
I need advise.

I am weighing the option of going to Doha Qatar for work. The offer came as a surprise and the money is reasonable but I don't know what should I be expecting as salary anyway. I have 18 years of working experience as a civil engineer in Malaysia.

My husband is still unsure. I don't have children but it would be extremely hard leaving my pet goats.

I saw that rental is extremely expensive in Doha like USD 3000/month or 7500Qtr/mth. I am very worried but if the financial is reasonable, I am willing to struggle for 3 years.

Please advise and comment.
Confused:confused:

Normally in Arab states, your rent and most of other utitlies are paid for by the Employer. You have more negotiating power while you are in your current location. I would ask questions and get all the expenses questions and other stuff out of the way first.

yeah...i heard that if you don't get the salary of rm11,000 permonth it wont be enough... :skeleton: :uuh:

heard that most of the malaysian company secured contracts because of its low pricing...coz sometimes they tend to take for granted when come to labour cost.
