(What's this?)A boy of seven saved his little brother's life - thanks to his TV superhero Ben 10.

The cartoon character inspired Jack Dudley to leap into the family swimming pool after Sam, three, jumped in without his protective armbands and sank.

Brave Jack tried to drag him to the surface but he slipped from his grasp. He tried again and managed to swim to the side with him in his arms.

Parents Pete, 45, and Kim, 41, who were out of sight for less than 30 seconds, frantically began to revive unconscious Sam, who was taken to hospital for an overnight stay.

Pete, of Brayton, North Yorks, said: "Sam took off his armbands and jumped for the inflatable but he missed.

"Jack dived under and managed to get his hand under Sam's chin, kept his head out of the water and swam to the side.

"We are so proud of Jack - we couldn't be prouder."

Jack said: "I watch shows like Ben 10 which have heroes and I'm glad I saved him."

yeh it teaches boys that cooking isn't just a woman's job :p
