The Messenger of Allah
said:“The angel on the left does not write down anything until six hours* have passed after a Muslim does a bad deed. If he regrets it and asks Allah for forgiveness, he casts it aside [does not write it down], otherwise he writes down one bad deed.”
Reported by al-Tabarani in al-Kabir and al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Emaan; classed as Hasan by al-Albani in Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah, 1209.
*This may refer to six hours of 60 minutes as measured by astronomers, or it may refer to short periods of time during the day or night – Lisaan al-‘Arab

how authentic is that hadith???? sorry just asking cos i've never come across it either and somehow it sounds like it contradicts the Quran.
