Fear of Arrest- A poem by a Dawah carrier

As I sit in my house I feel afraid
What if they come and raid
Kick down my door
Scare my mum
And pin me to the floor
And ask me to remain shtum
While they violate
And terrorise
My loved ones

Even the book of Allah
No longer safe
From these demons and beasts
Who urinate and flush down toilets
Our holy Quran,

Those of us who speak out
Are intimidated and told to be silent
Many innocent brothers arrested
And locked up
While everyone else shuts up

Talk about the basics
Five pillars
And ignore the actions of these killers
And mass murderers

Close their eyes and mind
To what's going on
And blame Muslims
For getting arrested
Not being wise
And warned to avoid certain discussions

As I talk and give dawah
I see and smell the fear
In the faces of my brothers and sisters
Who are thinking
Of leaving
My presence
Since what I say
Makes sense
But there might be a price to pay

A lonely cell in Bellmarsh or worse

They think I'm brave
Because I use the voice that Allah gave
To speak about the Ummah
And try and save Muslims
From assimilation
And destruction

I see eyes watching me
Strange people following
Making no attempts to hide
Want me to see them
And be afraid
Stop what I'm doing
Cower and hide in the masjids
And do tasbeeh all day

But I'm more scared than them
Because with every word
And sentence and solution
Quote from the Quran
And Hadith from Muhammed saw
It's as if I'm putting nails into my own coffin

But I replace my fear of the disbelievers
And their evil and wicked ways
With greater fear for my lord
The creator of all that exists
And trust in Allah
As I go about by obligations
With a smile on my face
Free from stress and worry

Truly from Allah we came
And to Allah is the return
For all men and women
But the foolish and weak know not.
