New Reporting Posts Feature

Some suggestions have been made in the past about making the 'report post' facility more effective. Alhamdulillah, we have introduced a new feature which we hope will achieve this purpose.

The old system sent an email to the respective mods when a post was reported in one of their sections. Now, each time a member reports a post, it generates a thread for all Moderators to see. This enables quicker and more reliable notification of a reported post, and allows everyone to understand what is happening about a situation.

There is one down-side to this, which is: please avoid reporting posts from the private forums (brothers/sisters' section), as this quotes the whole post from there. It would be better to PM a Moderator appointed to that section, or a SuperModerator who has access to the respective section.

In light of this change, we encourage members to make good use of the reporting bad posts facility, and Insha'Allaah this will result in a better place for us all.

I just became aware that some members and some former recent members are curious as to why they do not see the reported posts here..

The reason is: Those threads are only visble to mods and Admins.
