Assalamualaikum Wr wb

I need some advice regarding performing Hajj and visiting Masjid Al Aqsa alone as a woman. My circumstances is quite tricky. I am divorced Islamically yet still separated under Australian Law. Insha Allah, my property settlement will come through soon and I intend to use my portion of profit to perform Hajj. I live alone in Australia and have no relatives who can take me for Hajj.

I have researched that I can go with a group of pious muslim sisters because they too are considered muhrims so I believe I can go with any Hajj providers who have muslim women in their groups.

I have a strong calling in my heart to perform Hajj and also visit masjid Al Aqsa. I just feel this is the right time for me. I am single, I will be debt free soon Insha Allah, I have no dependants, and I can concentrate fully in submitting to Allah SWT without any attachment to worldly affairs eg worry about family you leave behind, so if anything should happen to me Insha Allah I will feel ready to face my Lord.

I would also like to find out the best way to go to Jerusalem, I believe I need to go via Jordan. If anyone has been there, advice and suggestions are much appreciated eg.safety, accommodation etc.

Jazakumullah Khair.

Wa alaikum salam sister,
I am a recent revert so I couldn't offer advice on your questions. I just saw your post and hope that inshAllah everything works out for you and you will be able to perform Hajj.
I would love to also, but have small children and ALOT of debt...
Take care sister

Assalaamu alaykum sis

According to my knowledge a Muslim Woman needs a Mahram (male company not female) to accompany her whilst going for Hajj otherwise Hajj isnt fardh on her until she finds someone. But then..Im not too sure so you can try asking a scholar, inshaAllah.

Wa Allahu alam.
