Salamualaikum.

Bismillah,

During this Ramadhan, I tend to read Islamic Books in order to gain and improve my knowledge, insha Allah. The last book I bought was Ihya Ulumuddin, written by Al Ghazali.

But I just read in several sources that the book is pretty much controversial. Some of them avoid this book due its weaknesses (which I dont have knowledge about this). While some of them recommend this book yet they still admit there are things need to be clarified.

Please give me explanations those who have decent knowledge bout this. I seek refugee for sins that I do beyond my conscious, and I seek refugee to Allah from satanic whispere due to my poor knowlegde.
Salamualaikum,

thank you.
