:salamext:,

I keep wanting to feel happiness..and to truly feel contentment :/
but the more I count my blessings the more I keep wanting something more.. am I being ungrateful? Subhan'Allah I can't explain it, but I've been feeling soo INCOMPLETE.. :'( :/

We're in the final Days of Ramadaan now Subhan'Allah but I don't want my feelings to effect my Ibadah in anyway.. my Eemaan keeps having weird swings of where I think I'm so stupid and begin to resent everything :/ and then its Bloooming at other times..its just so hard! I wanna increase the strength of my Trust in Allah..but how?? when I keep feeling soo miserable and resentful regarding everything! including the past...

can't make sense of anything..

 advice will be greatly appreciated, Jazaak'Allahu Khair.

Sis the ease WILL come....I promise you. Allaah tells us in the Qur'aan that it WILL come. When? Allaahu Aalim

Sis let me share something with you...I couldnt talk to a certain person because of some cirumstances since the past year (roughly), and we were very close. It hurt so much wallaahi it affected my ibadah and everything. A couple of days ago, when I spoke to them, all that pain was forgotten, even if I did speak to them for about 5-10 minutes, it felt so good.

What I'm trying to say is, from the above situation I understood that hadith; "The people that faced hardship all their life, they are dipped into paradise once, and they will say 'we never faced any hardship in our life' ". Coz the pleasures of paradise will make you forget all this hardship.

Sis when I was going through this last year, only my Rabb knows how hard it was for me. Only He Knows the pain I was in. What could I do during that time? Just make dua. I knew that was my only way out because I know that "None can hold back what Allaah gives, and none can give what Allaah Holds Back". I used to get so many satanic wiswas it was crazy. But you know what kept me going? This ayah;

"Verily, Allaah is with the Patient" [Qur'aan, Surah 8, Verse 46]

Something else that takes away my pain is reciting the Qur'aan and wanting to learn parts of it off by heart.

Practical Advice: Choose a Surah you really like, a good recitation of it, and start learning it off by heart. Don't expect to learn it overnight but slowly, step by step, everyday one verse, and InshaaAllaah you will feel so content I can't describe it... Wallaahi It's amazing...

Also may I suggest listening to this recitation of Surah Rahman by Muhammad Al Luhaidan, it is so peaceful SubhaanAllaah...[it starts at 1:35]

I'm sorry if I haven't been able to help you sis, but you are in my duas InshaaAllaah and just PM me anytime you need to talk InshaaAllaah.

Subhan'Allah, Jazaak'Allahu Khair for Every word of Advice You've given me sis! I really appreciate the time and effort you went through to make everything you said so clear and beautiful, May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'3la reward you immensely! Aameeen!!

You know, I know of others who have probably faced soo many more problems than me, and I've been approached to console them and everytime I've always tried to make them see sense in everything that helped me! Everything you said are probably explanations and tools of advice I've used myself for others, its just sooo hard to apply it to yourself when your own troubles seem like they're heavier in weight than anyone elses  I hate feeling like this, as I know I'm being ungrateful! I have soo much to be happy about yet I feel I want more...We're so ungrateful in nature its crazy because when we're shown in comparison to those are truly unfortunate we're the wealithiest in blessings Subhan'Allah

I really feel empty and I know that I will only feel completeness by turning to Allah! as He (Swt) Alone can help me..no one else. Life takes so many twisted turns you just begin to wonder whether you're doing something wrong. I've always felt like I've lacked something in a situation thats why I end up feeling the way I do, so I try harder to improve, but just when I see things falling into place something else happens and it seems as though trails and tribulations are just on-going and never ending in my life..

I want so many things that I can't have, I feel like I've made losses when making decisions but truly Allah willed it to be the way it does turn out..I guess I've just got to trust Him Subhanahu wa Ta'3la more and leave everything to Qadr! rather than worrying what is to happen in the future..

I feel silly for complaining but I guess we all need to be reminded Subhan'Allah so Jazaak'Allahu Khair sis *Hugs* and I'm sorry for making no sense at all. x

been there...given advice...not applied it...

Nah sis you did make sense mashaAllaah... Everyone goes through these times sis, when they have a problem and they feel their problem is a lot more heavier than everyones - thats only coz YOU are going through it, and YOU alone can understand the pain You go through [of course Allaah can as well]

I know everything people say will seem empty words right now, but InshaaAllaah it will get better...

Stay strong hun...

yep the feeling of empty sucks
no doubt
black void like nothing can fill it, boredom and a sense of meaninglessness (is that a word? :p)

for real, only thing, which makes that better, FOR ME is a niiice Ghusl, wudhu, some recitation and a cup of tea!

try it :D

Asalaam Alaykum Sister. hope you are well. sis i do understand what u mean, i trully understand, but sis we HAVE to believe and have faith that after hardship, ease will definately follow. jus like they say after a dark night, a bright morning will also follow.
sometimes certain things happen to me sis, certain things are said which affect me alot, and i wish they wouldnt. in the past things have affected me so much that i wasnt able to function, but i look back and i think that i was actually wallowing in self pity, im not sayin that u are sis, im just trying to explain 2 u how i felt. it took alot of time for me to realise that the only way i can get through my hardship was to turn to Allah SWT and Him alone. do u know how i came to this realisation? mashallah some beautiful sisters helped me from this forum. everything they said to me was so true. we jus NEED to have faith in Him.

ur right about giving out advice, if a sis came to me with the same problem that i was going through i am certain i would have given her some great advice and had expected her to act upon it, but when it comes to urself its not that straightforward i know that... i guess the only thing to is to be patient and remain in the remembarance of Him bcuz only He can help us.

u should read my posts sis, because some sisters have given me some really good advice, and if u ever wanna talk sis all u have to do is PM i know that what ive said isnt much help sis, but insh-Allah i can try to help u in any way i can. and i will also do dua that Allah SWT grants u ease very soon .xxx

then perhaps you should stop counting your blessings and non-blessigns and focus on something more concrete, like what you're going to do from now on...

feeling incomplete is somewhat beneficial when it helps you achieve
something important, but maybe you're asking too much of yourself?
If you can't keep doing something then the best way is to ease into it rather than pushing yourself.

Awww subhanAllah Emmy!

You know sis, you've heard the saying before right, 'May Allah (swt) take from you what takes you from Him'? ... I guess this isnt what you want to hear right now but know that whatever has happened up until this point has happened for the best, Allah (swt) has saved you from so many people, from so many evils...SubhanAllah you're truly blessed hun.

And yeah, I know what that emptiness feels like, what its like to feel as though you're neither here nor there, you're in limbo...But you know sis, this is where the true test lies, are you gunna let urself drown in the grief and sorrow, or is this the time you'll make best use of? By turning to Allah (swt) when you need Him most.

{And give glad tidings to the humble. Those whose hearts, when
Allah is mentioned, are filled with fear, who show patient
perseverance over their afflictions,
keep up regular prayer, and
spend (in charity) out of what We have bestowed upon them.} 22:35

Sis, I've known you for a while, I've seen you patient and I've seen you hurt, I've seen you give, gain and I've seen you lose. I ask Allah (swt) to bless you in abundance and give you something better in place of what was taken from you. I ask Him to fill your life with ease and your soul with sakeenah, Ameen!

I'm only a call away.

Take care insha'Allah xx
