Hmm, I've never had to write a book review before.
Any tips?
Any books on Islamic Law you think would be good to review?
Any mistakes I shouldnt make?
Has anybody read 'The Legal Status of following a Madhab' by Mufti Taqi Usmani?
I'm thinking of doing my review on that one.
Hmm, Danke very much

Try this one:

It's pretty good on the whole but could go into greater detail on some parts. (like, it doesn't tell you about the jury process or the court procedings. But it does inform you of what is legal and illegal under Islam and the punishments, conditions and exemptions etc). It has a chapter or so on the madhabs aswell

Have you read this Akhee?
This masterful work of Professor Doi continues
^ Is it an Orientalist perspective?
JazakAllah khayr btw.
Edit: Ahh, BarakAllah feek for that. The part its missing would have been interesting actually.
I dont have to talk/read up on the madhabs, its pretty vast so... Up to moi I guess

Erm, nope lol. Is it available on ebay? I've only actually read that one book on sharia law (the one I linked to) - I couldn't find any others on ebay and googling doesn't exactly provide me with reputable information (I might aswell have put "anti-islamic websites" in the search bar!)
