Hello, I am new to this forum. :) I have a question that's been on my mind for a while now. Is it okay and halal to buy a perfectly halal service or good from a place that sells also haram goods?

For example:

Is it haram to stay in a hotel that also hosts places such as pubs, serves alcohol etc?

Is it haram to purchase a book from Amazon.com, even though Amazon as a retailer also sells haram stuff such as semi-pornographic material, indecent movies, music etc.?

Would my purchase of a halal good/service in some way or form me cooperating in any form of sin or transgression?

Thanks...

You buy groceries at the supermarket, which also sells beer, cigarettes, and meat that isn't halal, right?

So I would think that staying at a hotel with a bar (which pretty much all hotels do), and buying stuff off amazon would be cool too..

^^^my opinion, not a scholar's or anything. (<-- my disclaimer)
