Quick Question
I am working today, and my co-workers are having a Christmas party and they brought some food. They offered me some of the food, should I eat it or not. Just want to know if it is haraam or not. The food is right in front of me now.
The food is halaal by the way

Christmas parties have nothing to do with the birth of Jesus.

You wouldn't become a Christian if you ate it :)

We have just enjoyed a Christmas party in our office.
The event was enjoyed by Christians and non-Christians alike.
Everybody brought something to eat - so we ended up having British, German, Italian, African, Indian food. A wonderful way to share with each other! :)
We did the same at Eid.
Any excuse to get together over lunchtime and enjoy each others company ... :)
peace

I know my post probably doesn't help you much, since I cannot give Islamic advice.
But I wish Muslims 'Eid Mubarak' quite happily, knowing full well that their beliefs are not in line with mine. I don't think that by wishing them a 'happy Eid' I make a religious statement, not do I weaken or undermine my own faith.
I can imagine that it would be wrong for you to engage in any activity pertaining to the religious celebration of Christmas ...
But do you really think saying 'Merry Christmas' will damage your own faith?
Now I will shut up and wait for others to give you some
real Islamic advice. :D
In any case, I hope you stay with your host family is a beneficial one.
Peace :)
