Walaykumsalam warahmatullah sister amatul wadud, please email info@habibainstitute.co.uk for details of the location in Manchester

With regards to your questions in your message unknown-jj regarding the courses in Luton there is a beginner level 1 tajweed module confirmed to start on Tuesday 30th December for 13 weeks every evening. Students should know the arabic alphabet and know how to read the Quran. The tajweed courses aims to equip students with the knowledge of correct articulation of the arabic letters and learn and understand how to apply the rules of tajweed. You dont need to understand arabic but arabic terminology will be used to describe the rules of tajweed. Those who complete level 1 will go onto complete level 2 which includes learning about all the madd rules and the meem sakina rules and further learning and memorisation of surahs Al Bayyinah to Al Fajr with correct tajweed. If you would like to learn how to read the quran and start from the basics, Habiba does offer a foundation reading and writing course for complete beginners (please email info@habibainstitute.co.uk if you would like something like this in Luton). Finally, there is no age limit on habiba courses it is open to all women no matter age.

Level 1 tajweed content consists of learning about the
Etiquettes of Quranic Recitation, Makharij al Huruf (Places of Articulations of the Arabic alphabets) Jawf, Halq, Lisan, Shafathan and Khaishoom. Sun Letters and Moon Letters. Methods of reciting Istia’adha & Basmalah. Ahkam Nun Sakinah and Tanween: Idhar, Idhgham, Iqlab & Ikhfa. Recitation and Memorisation of Surah Fatihah, Surah Naas to Surah Zilzal with correct Tajwid.

For those who have knowledge of Makharij and the basic rules of tajweed, there is also a level 3 tajweed module to start in Luton monday/wednesday evenings. This module covers all the sifaat rules (attributes and characteristics of the letters) as well as revision and application of the tajweed rules and memorisation of Surah Al Ghashiyyah to Surah Al Mutaffifeen.

I hope this helps.

Wasalamualykum
