Ethiopia set for Somalia pull out
Ethiopia has refused to reverse its decision to withdraw its forces from Somalia by the end of the year, despite a plea from the African Union (AU) to delay the move which it fears may result in a security vacuum inside the country.
The government in Addis Ababa said last month that it would pull its troops out by the scheduled time amid fears the war-torn country could descend into further anarchy unless more 'peacekeepers' are sent.
There are currently some 3,000 Ethiopian troops in Somalia supporting the embattled Transitional Federal Government [TFG], which is based in the southern town of Baidoa.

Where is the Conference of Muslim States? Somalia is a Muslim State.
Where is the Arab League? Somalia is an Arab State State.
The African Union (AU) appeals to Ethiopia to delay its withdrawal claiming fears it may result in a security vacuum inside Somalia!. Do they forget how Somalia became secure, for the first time since NATO's invasion in 1991, and began the path of reconciliation and rebuilding the country under the Islamic Courts and that it was Ethiopia's invasion and occupation that destroyed the new found peace and tranquility?
Why must Somalia always be occupied and its people deprived of peace and prosperity? The Europeans and the Americans live in peace and lead a lavish but deny Somalis the most basic freedom to choose who leads them or to live their life the way they choose.
Now they are using a new pretext , which I am sure they created, and are trying to convince the world of the need to invade Somalia. The American delegation to the U.N. began talking up a resolution that would allow foreign forces to attack Somali pirates
By all measures, Somalia must be free from foreign troops, especially non-Muslim forces. Somalia deserves to be left to its own good Muslim population to select those who will unite them and lead them to a better future.
