:welcome: aboard.. al7mdlilah you speak Arabic belabaqa

hal momkin almosa3ada fi hazhi al'qaseeda

بانَتْ سُعادُ فَقَلبي اليومَ مَتْبولُ

the Arabic of it is too intense.. in my mind 'motabwil' denotes a relation to urine, and I know in this context it means 'left souad, my heart today is broken'.. but I can't find an Arabic dictionary with that sort of Archaic Arabic, to be able to translate in full.. can you help me with the rest of it.. I believe it deserves some English recognition insha'Allah..

even though it was a request of a dear member, I believe it might benefit the whole..

OK, PK2
I won't disappear
I'm here, and I will be here forever Insha'allah

sister Argon.. متبول in this poem is not "motabawil".. it is "matbool"
they are in same letters, but different "tashkeel"

in the pome, the word means: "my heart is patient.. or sick" >> "مريض"
if you know Arabic I will try to explain more.. but in English, I am just a baby ^_^

and about the <arabic-arabic> dictionary, I will try to help you to find good program to use at the computer

sister Argon, again..

about the poem you asked me to translate (Al-bordah البردة), I forgot to say that some people added many things at it, so try to use the origin one.. ( click here )

:sl:

I wouldn't mind the original or an abridged version of it.. I am aware that some shiites and suffis played with it a bit that it almost bordered upon sacrilege-- nonetheless it is an important piece of early Islamic poetry that I think should be made available for all.. let me know if you can help or if you know of someone who has already translated it so that it retains somewhat of it is original beauty.. as is often the case with the translation much is lost... or worst yet when attempted by amateurs (me :X) :haha:

p.s indeed I know Arabic, so I'll give you the words with some difficulty then we can agree on the mutual and strongest meaning insha'Allah.. let me know when you are ready

Yes, you are right but it is never too late to try to change that!! There are still a lot of good muslims around the world!

Anw, welcome to the forum!

sister Argon,
actually,I don't know who can help you in this, but if you want my help I won't say no
just remember that it is a poem, and my English is not that good
if you want I can explain what I can, and the translation will be your work
that is all what I can do.. sorry!

sister Lara,
I believe what you have said
it is never too late to try to change that
there was no Islam at the earth, but by Allah, who sent his messenger ( peace be up on him ) to the world, and made good people to assisted him.. the world now is full with Muslims
we must believe that we can do what the prophet had done, just if we try
we can do it, because Allah always will be with Muslims, who want his complacency

thanks for your welcome

how can I send a reputation for any one?
I found in my profile page some reputations with comments, but I don't know how to send one or who did posted the comments to me!!!

can I do it, or it is for full members only?
