Hi,
I am Josh, I am 17 years old and from England.
I currently have no religion; but I have been interested in Islam for a few months, I've never been to a Mosque and don't know any Muslim people personally, but over the past 2 months a person from Jordan who I met on a language exchange website, has been teaching me the basic principles of Islam, So, I've come here to try and discover more about the religion. :D

Heyya Josh,

Welcome to the forum.

I don't live in England...but where I am from, I work for an interfaith organisation. Our organisation utilises the largest mosque in Australia to hold mosque tours. They take about an hour long with Q/A session afterwards.

You mentioned you hadn't been to a mosque. I suggest you do. I don't know if they hold mosque tours where you are from, but they are a nifty little thing and you should look into whether or not something like this is available around you.

You might find some stuff that interests you on our website: All our courses etc are organised for people of non-muslim background so it's all pretty straight forward and easy to comprehend.

Also, our old president, now deputy, wrote a book called '101 Questions you asked about Islam'. He took note of the common questions being asked during mosque tours etc and wrote a book. Don't worry, he isn't some drongo off the street. He lectures at my university and is completing his phd in religions.

Peace :)
