GREENWICH CAMPUS BY CAR

**DIRECTIONS TO CAMPUS
From the M25 take the A2 Junction 2 towards London. The distance is then approximately 15 miles. Continue onto the A102 (from East London join the A102 via the Southbound Blackwall Tunnel). From the A102 take the slip road and at the roundabout exit onto the A206 for Greenwich. Continue along this road and turn right at the traffic lights into Park Row. The campus is on the left.

Transport for London offers free online information on Driving in London.
The AA provide directions on-line and information on the Cost of Motoring.

**CAR PARKING
There is no student car parking on campus but there is a public car park opposite in Park Row and other public car parks elsewhere in the town centre. Visitors (including staff without permits to park on campus), must call the university in advance to reserve a parking space on campus. On arrival report to East Gate security.

Greenwich is very congested and all car parks get busy, it is however well served by public transport routes, and for this reason we would advise this is the best option.

**PUBLIC BUSES
Below are bus services that pass the campus. (Use the 286 to get to Avery Hill):
129: From Greenwich to Trafalgar Road, East Greenwich Library, Sainsbury's Greenwich Peninsula to North Greenwich
177: From Peckham, New Cross and Deptford to Charlton, Woolwich, Plumstead, Abbey Wood and Thamesmead
180: From Lewisham to Charlton, Woolwich, Plumstead, Abbey Wood and Belvedere
188: From Russell Square, Waterloo, Elephant and Castle, Bermondsey, Surrey Quays and Deptford to North Greenwich
199: From Canada Water, Surrey Quays and Deptford to Lewisham and Catford
286: From Greenwich to Westcombe Park, Blackheath Royal Standard, Kidbrooke, Eltham, Avery Hill, Sidcup and Queen Mary's Hospital
386: From Blackheath Village, Shooters Hill Road and Blackheath Hill to Westcombe Park, Blackheath Royal Standard, Kidbrooke, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Plumstead Road and Woolwich
N1: Night bus from Tottenham Court Road Station, Holborn, Waterloo, Elephant and Castle and Surrey Quays to Charlton, Woolwich, Plumstead, Abbey Wood and Thamesmead

The following bus routes (below) pass Island Gardens. This is the closest point to the campus north of the river (the Greenwich foot tunnel connects underneath the River Thames from Isle of Dogs to Cutty Sark).
D3: From London Chest Hospital, Bethnal Green, Shadwell, Wapping and Canary Wharf to Cubitt Town and Crossharbour
D7: From Mile End and Canary Wharf to Cubitt Town and Poplar

GREENWICH CAMPUS BY RAIL

London Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Waterloo East and London Bridge all offer direct services to Greenwich Station (10-15 minutes walk away) on the Dartford/Gravesend via Greenwich and Woolwich line. There are also direct services from Medway taking around 50 minutes, though a change at Charlton or Dartford is often required. If you are travelling from Kent, alight at Maze Hill Station (10 minutes walk away). All these services are operated by South Eastern Trains and timetables can be downloaded online. Pre pay Oyster Cards are not currently valid at these stations.

**Tube
If travelling by tube the best option is to get off at Canary Wharf (Jubilee Line) and get the DLR Lewisham bound train to Cutty Sark. Or go to Bank station (Central line/Northern line/Waterloo & City line) and catch the DLR Lewisham bound train to Cutty Sark. Alternatively you could get off at North Greenwich (Jubilee Line) and take a 188 bus to the campus.

**Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
Cutty Sark Station is just one minute walk from the campus West Gate. Direct services run from Bank, Canary Wharf, Lewisham and Stratford and easy connections are available from Tower Gateway, Beckton and London City Airport.

**London Transport Zones
- Cutty Sark DLR Station is situated in Zone 2/3.
- Bank Tube Station is in Zone 1.
- Canary Wharf Station is in Zone 2.
- North Greenwich Station is in Zone 2/3.
