For those familiar (and those not) with Bayyinah.com Tajweed, the brother who teaches it, Hafidh Wisam Sharieff is on a leave for the next few months due to traveling to Alexandria, Egypt to the Qurtuba Institute for seeking knowledge. Here's his video blog of his days there:

Bump! The new videos are pretty cool and very informative, including one on the Alexandria book fair, second only to the book fair in Cairo.

And the video on the Jumuah there is amazing..like 15 different Adhan's going off in the city and people trying to get to salah..amazing.

His new videos are really good. 'Especially the ones when he's on the bustling streets with the adhan and the bazaar.
He's awesomely inspiring and oddly enough, relate-able.

I love to learn. This includes Islam. Does this make me a knowledge travelet?

Anyone who sincerely seeks knowledge is a knowledge traveler. in my opinion.

Learning is one of the best tools we can develop in order to exercise our free will.

One might ask here what does it mean if you know something? For example if I say I know what Ohm's law is does means I can just recite it or to prove that I know it I must be able to use it? I would argue that unless you USE your knowledge to do something then you don't really know it.

I can recite from the Qu'ran in Arabic but that does not mean I know it does it?

Wa Alaykum Assalaam,

Masha'Allaah, these look very useful. Are there any recordings of the actual tajweed lessons? Jazakallaahu khayran for this thread.
