Its about how he goes through the different levels of hell and he explains the different punishments of the sins the souls have committed in those 9 circles, and he goes all the way down to circle 9 where satan is and explains how satan is like and how he looks like supposedly (?) . My question is, are there different levels of hell in a Muslim hell? And how satan is viewed as from an Islamic point of view?
Thanks~
As far as we are concerned Dante was a plagiarist, and a extremely miserable one at that.
His inspiration for "Inferno" was the event of Isra wa Miraj, when the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) was shown the glory of the heavens and the earth, he was shown heaven, hell, and the angels etc.
Dante was such a vile and sick person that instead of giving a token of credit, he stated in his inferno that the Prophet (pbuh) was among those in hell, this insult to the beloved Messenger of God, will inshallah earn Dante his seat in Jahanum.
As for your question, the answer is yes there are 7 levels in Hell, and it is a extremely large place.
Shaytan (satan) is the open enemy of Mankind from the start of creation. God has given him permission till the day of Judgment to tempt human beings, and those that disobey God will join him in hell. Shaytaan will thus try everything in his power to divert a person away from Islam, and the worship of the Creator.
