Most of the people are Egyptian Arab, but you will come across man black people from Sudan, Somalia, Chad and other neighbouring countries. But if you go to those arabic schools you will come across many many western brothers from UK, Canada, US and other European countries.

Most of them don't mix classes alhamdulilah, otherwise everyones attention would be on something else other tha arabic. Mixing of sexes is Haram in Islam, and should be out of the question for the one who is going out seek knowledge. So I would have to disagree with you brother, most sisters are there by themselves so you will be unable to approach them with the correct way. If you want to get married get married, but if you are going to study arabic study arabic and be focused Yaa Akhi Kareem.

Is the brother in question going to Egypt to study Islam or to try to get married? Perhaps you should sort your intention out first.

It is narrated on the authority of Amirul Mu'minin, Abu Hafs 'Umar bin al-Khattab, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, say:

"Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated."

Hopefully study then look for a sister to marry. But let me tell you that it is difficult and won't be easy to find a sister on your own in a strange country with no one but Allah to guide you. But study hard and make your main intention to learn Islam then your secondary goal/intention to find a suitable women to marry. Don't be hasty in marriage decisions get to know the sister first, she might just want to live where you live and then will deceive you.

Don't let my talk scare you because all I am doing is warning you about some particular decevious minds of women. But inshAllah all your goals will be accomplished Ameen!

Inshallah akhi, but just avoid Free Mixing, and don't attend classes were sexes are all Mixed together. There are ways of approaching a sister you like, through her male family members etc, you don't need to attend a class full of sisters to find a wife.

I thought that aswell, but you are allowed to see them, to give you a reminder about the past, and see them as a sign

Egypt is an excellent country to get a quality education. Some of the finest Islamic schools can be found there. Going to Egypt for an education is an excellent choice. Provided that is your only intention.

To go to Egypt for any other purpose, except maybe as a sight seeing tourist can lead to many problems. Egypt has many distractions that can easily lead a person astray if they are not cautious. I have found that a non-Egyptian Muslim can run into many forms of fitna in Egypt. Also be aware Egyptian Arabic can be very difficult to understand if you speak any other dialect. If you do not speak Egyptian Arabic, use English as most Egyptians are very fluent in English.

Ahhh ok, cool.

In places where Islam is studied and taught you will probably find a mixture of all sorts of people- all different colors, nationalities, races. Alhamdullilah for the beautiful diversity of Islam.

Egypt is virtually 100% Eastern Hamitic in race. The Hamitic people are Egyptian, Bedouin and Berber. They are considered to be Aryan Caucasian stock, very closely related to Iranians.

But you will find very large numbers of non-citizen people of nearly every race and nationality living there. However, I have seldom seen any Arabs in Egypt, but it was over 30 years ago when I last visited Egypt. I believe that there are now very many Palestinian refugees living in Egypt.

If you speak the Lebanese Arabic, it is very similar to the Egyptian Arabic and should be understandable in Egypt. Algerian Arabic is nearly impossible to use in Egypt. I speak Moroccan and never had any trouble in Algeria, but was completely lost in Egypt.

All countries have things like this, but in places like Iran and Saudi Arabia they're underground, and things take place behind closed doors.

Alsalamo alykom wa rahmato Allah wa barakato brother.
are you graduated from a collage or high school?
of course if u r graduated from high school then the best place I recommend is Alazhar universty.
while if u r graduated from a collage ( don`t matter which career )then there is an islamic institute in Egypt only for high graduated people ,it accept people from all nationalities, and applying there is easy ,just u have to be fluent at arabic as they utilize only arabic language .one of my relatives was studing there and she told me that it is a great place and there is a very nice atmosphere there as students love each other for the sake of Allah .If ur interested let me know then in shaa Allah I can give u there phone number or I can call them and ask about any question u like in shaa Allah .

don`t worry about being from a deffrent race ,Egyptian people r very friendly so u will feel that u r one of them just in a few minites in shaa Allah (yes believe me :) )
May Allah helps and guides u and all muslims.

Also if one is to study under shoyukh in egypt i suggest Sheikh Raslan.

its for high graduated only because in this institute u study first two years about Islam (for example: hadith ,worship, islamic history .....etc)(Deploma)
and then if u get average grade C atleast u will be allowed in shaa Allah to do your masters degree in something related to your career and Islam at the same time, for example if u studied law befor u can make masters in the deffrent between Law in ur country and Islamic law,if u studied websites design u can do it in how to improve Islamic sites,...etc ,sowhatever ur career is ,u can do masters degree related to it and Islam.
and of course if u get masters degree and liked to begin ur PhD there u can in shaa Allah.
Deplom or Master or PhD degree from this institute is equal to that from Alazhar or any egyptian univeristy .
