View Full Version : The Thief of my heart....

They say How?
I say I believed
They say what was your secret?
I say Dua
They were where?
I say In the shade of the Kaba
They say what for?
I say That Allah (swt) gives me what I want
They ask where can we find what you have.
I say a man does not find treasure like this twice so do not ask me.
They say If anyone deserves it then its you
I say Allah knows best.

Sitting here as I know you lay in the other room.
Content that I am finally home.
Home is not four walls but where my heart is.
Some might call you my wife but I call you mine.

You’re my treasure the likes of whom they never believed I would find.
They said settle for silver as gold is beyond your reach.
They said you’re a dreamer they said you’re reaching for the stars
But if you don’t reach you will always come short

You are my pillow
You are where I lay my weary head to feel comfort and love.
You make better what they make wrong
You see the worst in me while I smile for those who mean far less and for that I am sorry.
You deserve far better so I will strive harder in this Deen for if we are to be forged in the heat of the truth then we raise our heads as true men that our women deserve.

You guard your ibadah like it was your child, I wish I was a patch on you

Your heart sinks if we oversleep for worship but you don’t complain if it is for dunya and that is another reason I love you.
My baby you make me laugh long
The heart aches when we part and the longing is not one that medicine can make better.
Do I tell you that I love you? Not nearly enough.
How much do I care? More then you will ever know.
I want that when I’m gone you understand the void that my love will leave for no one has been able to know and will be able to love you as much as I do.
Without doubt you are my baby, my lady, my queen…
The downs are a drop in the ocean compared to the good that we sow.
I worry so much about you, I worry so much about me
I worry that I do not do enough
Never in my life have I ever thought of myself without having thought of you first.
I don’t look at anything for myself rather the joy in my heart comes seeing something that I think could grace you.

Day will follow night but the sunset will no longer have meaning when I think of everything that I would have lost if I lost you
I share you with the one who will mend what falls apart and turns a blind eye to the thief of my heart..
Who did the Prophet (saw) go to when he was in need of comfort? Was it not his beloved wife?
There are moments that define a person and you understand the calibre of them when they are struck by calamity and I will never forget how you stood when I needed you the most.
Not a question did you ask, nor did you complain you just did what you had to and we placed our trust in Allah.
It showed me then that you trust me.

You walked into my life,
You took my heart and you hold it
You walked by my side
For sure you must be tired so rest your feet in our palace in Jannah.

Your beauty is my eyes and your modesty I wanted to keep,
If just waking to your face, feeling your hands was all that I got then they can keep their treasures for I have found mine.
They can seek riches for I have found my water in a desert and I will drink my fill.

You walked towards me with what I thought was the light from the sun itself
But in truth it was your smile,
Was it fair that such a burden should be placed on your shoulders?
We knew that our road to Jannah was paved with many thorns and you walked on those thorns,
In Jannah we will rest…
