View Full Version : Forgive me sister

Forgive me sister
Did I laugh while you wept?
Did I sleep sound while you felt pain?
Did I eat my fill while you searched for food?
Did I spend while you begged?
Did I soak in a bath while you nursed your wounds?
Did I adorn my home while you rummaged in the ruins?
Did I get angry over a parking ticket but placid when it came to my concern for you?
Did I spoil my child but ignore yours
Did I dress in my best while you struggled to conceal your modesty?
Did I buy dolls for my baby while yours played with glass?
Did I tour the country while you hide for your life?
Did I complain of a cold while you buried your husband?
Forgive me sister for I have no answer…

MashaAllah brother,
I must say that for me, perhaps the words dont mean as much as the thought.. although the words were beautifully threaded too MashaAllah
And perhaps you could make dua for those people.. thats the only way we can help after donations I think..

Greetings and peace be with you Abu Sukkar;
As others have said, Beautiful, and it seems all the more remarkable that it was posted by a brother, and not a sister.
In the spirit of praying to a loving and merciful God,
Eric
