not to be understood wrongly
an explanation from another new member

think someone who loves somebody
think someone who wants to show his/her love everyone for evidence
think someone whom goal of life is only winning the consent of his/her darling

if the darling replies your love nothing is important from now on
even noone likes or loves you
this is not important
because darling loves you

you love what darling loves
you like what darling dislikes
you agree what darling agrees
you deny what darling denies

so,
can you love or like someone who dislikes(sometimes hates) your darling(s darlings)?

Greetings Ahmet.
I assume you are comparing Allah with 'your darling'? :?

To go along with that analogy, the question to you is perhaps whether you can like somebody who perhaps doesn't like 'what your darling likes', but respects it.

In other words, I don't believe Islam to be the true path, but I like my Muslim brothers and sisters and I respect that Islam is their religion.
On that basis can glo and Ahmet be friends? :)

glo...

my answer is hidden at Quran; [58:22] and [60:1]

but according to [60:8] I should be gentle and just to you.

because Allah loves who behaves gently and justly

so I want to behave how Allah likes us to behave

meanwhile I don't want to hurt anyone's heart as a cardiologist!!!

I don't consider myself to be an enemy of Allah ..., but I realise that you are unable to call yourself my friend - based on our differences in faith alone.

But since you are instructed to treat me with kindness and gentleness, and I am instructed to love my neighbours (those who are friends and those who are not ...), we should get on just fine. :)

Aspiring to behave as God would want us to is a great thing always!

Enes(may Allah pleased to him) reported;
Rasulullah(peace be upon to him)) said that:
you wouldn't believe(absolutely) unless you don't want something, which you want it for yourself, for your brother or sister
[Buhari,İman:7; Muslim,İman:72]

I don't know if it is a true translation?
but
what I want form Allah,
may Allah gives you that more

if we knew what we don't know
we would feel very ignorant...
as it was discussed at Quran,33:72
however
at that time, we wouldn't be ignorant
may be not all subjects
but
I may find what I need to when Allah helps
finally
''...may salaam and peace is up to whom obeys the true path...''

If you know, what you don't, you wouldn't feel ignorant because that is what you would usually feel complete opposite of not knowing. To be ignorant, is to be un-known of a topic. For example, I am ignorant of the Quran. That doesn't make me stupid, it makes me ignorant in the topic, so I should not give out advice on it, unless I am not ignorant on it.

I hope Allah helps you find whatever it is you need or want.

sorry, I do not understand
33:40 is [ماكان محمد ابا احد من رجالكم ولكن رسول الله وخاتم النبيين وكان الله بكل شئ عليما]
unless you mean 33:41? [ ياايها الذين امنوا اذكروا الله ذكرا كثيرا] even that translates to "O believers, remember Allah often" meaning: be mindful of Him or "O YOU who have attained to faith! Remember God with unceasing remembrance" Asad

I am beggining to wonder if some members on this forum want to treat non Muslims with kindness and gentleness or just contempt. I have not once insulted Islam at least to my knowledge and yet I am finding my faith being downed by some and my nationality. I came to this board because I wanted to know more about Islam and talk to other Muslims. I even thought about embracing it, but after much prayer I have decided to remain a Christian as I feel it is right. I will be the first one to debunk the media sterotypes about Muslims and defend their right to practice their religion freely. But blaming the West, in particular America for the ills of the world and downing Christians is about to wear really thin.

as an addendum to above:

I have a difficult time distinguishing left and right bundle branch blocks.. also very difficult for me to interpret an ST elevation from a mere regular ST.. also I am not sure which are the most important leads and tend to get confused on what would be inverted where (I have read a few books, but want a simple trick ''cardiology for dummies'' so to speak.. can you please cover that on the health and science thread?

Jazaka Allah khyran
