The Tehran Police say a building has been identified in the city which has been used as a 'headquarters' to promote post-election unrest.

The Intelligence and Security Department of the Tehran Police has declared that the building -- located on Tehran's Haft-e-Tir Square -- was investigated on Monday night after a search warrant was obtained, IRNA reported.

The plotters have been arrested and are currently under investigation.

Documents found in the building indicate an ongoing plot against Iran's security was being implemented, the police said in a statement.

“After scrutinizing the building, which was the campaign office of a presidential candidate, it was discovered that the organization of illegal gatherings, the promotion of unrest, and efforts to undermine the country's security were carried out from the building,” the statement added.

Evidence has been found in the building that reveals the role of foreign elements in planning post-election unrest.

The building has in fact been a “headquarters for a psychological war against the country's security,” the police said.

The building, sources told Press TV, was used by a Mir-Hossein Mousavi election campaign.

There are 3 possibilities here:

The people don't have the skills necessary to get organised and have to rely on foreigners to do the organising or;

The people don’t know they are being manipulated by the evil West or:

The Iranian people are doing all this themselves.

people like you are the problem. if the Iranian government say something you dismiss it, yet if a western government comes out with something you will happily follow along.

this is why the world is messed up, and why major problems are happening, and why the west is able to get away with so much. tut tut very sad.

Who believes anything the Iranian regime says at this point? Fortunately, the Iranian people now know that they are lied to at the convenience of the regime. They know that the regime holds on to power using lethal force. What else is there to say? This regime is heartless, vicious and vile, and does nothing for the country or the world.

Iran lives under a dictatorial theocracy. If its citizens vie for the true democracy that is the right of all humans, they will be killed.

The Iranian regime is showing the world what Islamic rule looks like. It will not accept true democracy, and it will kill its own before ceding power to the people.

But the wheels have started to turn. The regime has been unmasked, and I and millions of people around the world will toast with bubbly grape juice when they fall.

When you've used the internet for a while, you start to develop a feel for sources, and to get a sense of when something is true, and when it is not.

The fact that the Iranian regime has restricted, expelled and arrested journalists tells me all I need to know, and fully justifies dismissing the proclamations of the regime as self-serving, manipulative, and entirely unrelated to the truth. The lie to their people and they lie to the world. These are dishonest and dishonorable men.

The only time they tell the truth is when they say that they will crush dissent. That, we can believe.

Go and watch the BBC documentary called "Iran and the West". You will hear from the very western power you believed in, on why Iranians mis-trust the West specifically the Americans.

The British and Americans should put behind their colonial egos and let others deal with their own problems. They don't have the right to judge the Iranian government.

How do you like the Iran govt to comment on how much humanity the Americans have shown in arresting and torturing muslims in the name of National Security?

Oh, please, please do a little research! There's one poster in particular who feeds on that sort of ignorant rubbish and then shoves back down our throats as being somehow 'the' position of 'the West'. The situation has nothing to do with 'Islamic rule'... both sides are as 'Islamic' as each other. It's an internal struggle for power and while the actions of the current regime do indeed speak volumes for the character and integrity of those involved, it should not be portrayed as some attempt to overthrow the 'shackles' of Islamic rule or theocracy.. it simply isn't.

Who knows, there could be a possibility of all three occurring. The three are not mutually exclusive.

I think it is a matter of trust. The Western government do not trust the Iranian government and dismiss any evidence that they present. It would be foolish for the Western government to expect them to be trusted, when they cannot do the same for others.

*sighs*

Oh please. Are you not over exaggerating your point? No one knows what is going on. To me people are just jumping to conclusions. How do you know that they are being lied to?

Iran lives under a dictatorial theocracy. If its citizens vie for the true democracy that is the right of all humans, they will be killed.
What about in the Western country? Anti-Semitism laws prevent people question or study the Holocaust in a different perspective. Last time I checked those people get imprisoned if they question certain aspects of the Holocaust and be labelled as a Nazi/racist.

Sounds like democracy to me.

The Iranian regime is showing the world what Islamic rule looks like. It will not accept true democracy, and it will kill its own before ceding power to the people.
This has nothing to do with the Islamic law. These are internal problems. Nothing to do with Islam.

The depends on the sources itself, whether they are biased or not.

The fact that the Iranian regime has restricted, expelled and arrested journalists tells me all I need to know, and fully justifies dismissing the proclamations of the regime as self-serving, manipulative, and entirely unrelated to the truth. America has lied to the world too. Weapons of Mass Destruction...ring a bell?

My point is, Iran is not as bad as the media makes it out to be. All countries lie and manipulate the public. We only got one side of the story.

Back to the topic: Interesting article. I highly doubt that western government shall take this seriously.

ah like the west is also a source of truth? the very same west who made an entire lie just to go to war with Iraq??? plz as a westerner, start being consistent for onceeeeeeeeee, instead of trying to always paint this good and evil flip flop where the other side cant be trusted while the western side can be when by all records the west has been caught out lying so many times.

also as for imprisoning and silencing journalists, then the west has done the same, not only has the west imprisoned journalists, but have killed them as well, a point in example is al jazeera.

furthermore Israel, the best friend of America, who's ties with America is unbreakable as obama stated, barred all journalists from entering Gaza during the war, most of the time we had to rely on the IDF'S own info they were putting out, which most of you westerners gladly accepted and didnt contest against. so again, who are you guys trying to kid with this media censorship and who can be trusted type of arguments when your beutiful western establishment often does the very same thing?

just face it guys, your hypocrites, you have double standards, and your reasoning is why there are so many problems in the world, and why the west is able to get away with so much.
