I hardly drink caffe or tea ...never used to drink them

I get liquids for my body through fruit or its juice and water ......

and sometimes in winter I drink Karkade: Roselle

I don't like to drink milk but have almost daily yogurt instead..

:)

I always wanted to know what karkade way in English, Jazaka Allah khyran

what about amer ideen, and sa7lab which I have never had, and khoshaf, and other ramdani drinks whose names I have a difficult time describing to people...

also 7ranqash which I just conceded was boysenberry but it looks more like toot than anything.. hmm ...

tookme forever to know that qulqas is taro
how does one find these odd drinks and foods, when my friends ask me for ethnic things, which frankly I hardly have, I can't even begin to describe them lol

:w:
amar iddeen is of Syrian origin ,huge amount of apricot is grown there,so they dry its juisce ,and amar ideen is when you put this dried apricot in water to dissolve again....

so let's call it dried Apricot Drink...
I used to drink that in Ramadan while in Egypt...

Sahlab is called either (salep, saloop, salop)

It is again very tasty drink in winter, and love it

it is described here

http://egyptian-cuisine-recipes.com/...oop-salop.html

khoshaf, is... the dry kind of dates is put in water or milk till it comes morbid....

7ranqash is Physalis and common in his season in Egypt...

and don't forget Tamarind...this famous drink there too....

and Carob (Locust bean) drink Kharroob ......

and Zanjabil (may be ginger?)....

lots of good drinks there, and lots of good dishes I like ,but I don't like eggplants(I dislike it lots)...,unlike most Egyptians I'm not fond of rice(if alone) ,not fond of pizza, chicken, fish(only few kinds as shrimp sometimes i have)....:)
