HPA INDUSTRIES
The only Muslim native company in Malaysia with factories of "GMP" standard since 1997. The company has the speciality in local herbal ingredients and has links of specialized stockists who are skilled in holistic treatment.
INTRODUCTION
The company is established by Mr. Haji Ismail Ben Haji Ahmad who came from Mata Ayer Village in Perlis, Malaysia. In September 1987, he had run a small business known as al-Wahida Traditional Herbal and Medicine shop. After 8 years and with the knowledge of herbal medicine inherited from his ancestors, he then established HPA Industries Enterprise in July 15th, 1995.
Throughout their experiences, HPA has the ability to carve the history of success and still working as ever today. HPA is a business with full potential, achievements, and success. The main objective of the company establishment is to expose about the traditional herbal and spices as the source of medicine to the publics and they could be the alternative treatment for society beside enhancing the quality of health, experiencing prosperity through health and enriching the life.
HPA industries enterprise is established by a farmer with vast experience in herbal field in Malaysia. He is Haji Ismail Ahmad and now the owner of the industries with the position of first management director. His vice management director is his wife, Hajjah Norhayati Bente Ahmad.
FACTORIES
HPA enterprise recently possessing few modern factories and herbal farms as wide as 500 acres to make sure that they have sufficient supplies of herbs.
The company's factory is located at B1 & B2, Lot 29, Jalan Industri, Kawasan Perindustrian Kuala Perlis, Perlis under the Malaysian Development Bank scheme. Other than that, another HPA's factory is operated in Lot 5 & 6, Kawasan MIEL Jejawi Fasa II, Jalan Jejawi Sematang, Perlis and at Lot 1 & 2, IKS KEDA Napoh, 06100 Jitra, Kedah. Other new factory is operated in Gandul, Jakarta, Indonesia. The workers of HPA factory now are more than 200 people.
In the earlier stage, the pharmaceutical industry of HPA only operated at the owner house. However, due to the diligence efforts shown by him, the bank had agreed to let him renting a building to operate the manufacturing of products. In the mean time, HPA had made an agreement with the National Pharmaceutical Bureau (BPFK) to get permission in the arrangement of factory plan. Finally, when the permission had been granted by the bureau, The Development Bank provided a loan in about RM 222, 000 for him to buy the processing machines and permitting him to build another additional block for HPA in the factory site.
In 11 September 1997, HPA factories were recognized with Good Management Practice (GMP) certificate by the Malaysian Ministry of Health. WIth the new status, HPA has the opportunities to market the products abroad.
HPA had bought 4 lots of factories with the value of 1.4 million in Jejawi Industrial area. It is 5 km away from Kangar, which is the capital of Perlis state. They can produce more products with the factories. The facilities in the factory is estimated about RM 2.6 million.

The Speech of HPA Board of Director
Since long time ago, our community had practised the usage of herbal as medication in curing few diseases. Through this method, HPA being established. Alhamdulillah, we could be together in developing not only a business, but also contribute toward the prosperity of family life.
In line with the modernization today, the herbal treatment of HPA is following modern and clean manufacturing process. With the recognition of "Good Manufacturing Practice," HPA company had managed to ensure the quality of products and making sure that it is consistent.
