I am asking because I was reading Tafseer Ibn Kathir, Ibn Kathir quotes certain hadith using Ubaydah As-Salmani as the narrator. I have never heard of a Sahabi by such a name, so I was wondering if the Hadith that Ibn Kathir mentioned are strong or not. Wasalam.
Can anyone please tell me that who Ubaday As-Salmani was? It is really important.
:sl: Sorry brother I tried to find this name but it is not coming up in any search. Maybe the name do exist, maybe mentioned in a hadis or narration of another sahabi but I am not aware of it.

Just for general info I found out today that Ubaday As-Salmani was a Mu'tazili Scholar who lived during the time of Abbasid Caliph Mamun.
