"The Revelation of this Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom... He created you (all) from a single Person:... created, (out of it) of like nature his mate... and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women" (S. 39:1,6: S: 4:1).

Do soul mates in Islam? I remember reading somewhere that Allah created a partner/soul mate for everyone. Not sure if its true.

Eve was created from Adam's (pbuh) soul. Is that true?

Also, if there really is a "soul mate" for everyone out there, why dont we always find them?

Finally, what EXACTLY does the soulmate idea even mean? In Islam?

*very confused*

The only thing I have knowledge of, regarding this is from the Qur'aan;

"Women impure are for men impure, and men impure for women impure and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity: these are not affected by what people say: for them there is forgiveness, and a provision honourable."
[Qur'aan, 24:26]
