dear brothers and sisters... i'm in the worst period i've ever been..
i live in a small village.. and some specific people told lies about me to intrigue between me and another family of my friend... and those were really nasty lies...
i'm in a situation where i can't prove my innocence.. i'm being treated really bad by these people i once loved and they refuse to see my face again...
i cry everytime i go down to sojod for Allah to reveal the truth..
is Allah promising us that the he will show the truth?
and can i ask you all to pray for me..?
the only thing that keeps me from going into totall depression is my faith...allhamdulilah

gossip is vicious innit :(
hmm what i've noticed of people who gossip, is that eventually their own evil turns back on them. they taint their own reputation, reveal their own lies and eventually people notice this and consequently the people don't trust them. i wouldn't worry too much. as long as you've done your best to clear any suspicions have patience and remember the dua of the oppressed ;) there isn't much you can do after that. people will always be narrow-minded. you cant escape it.

bring a false charge against a Muslim woman is a great sin in Islam .

And those who accuse chaste women, and produce not four witnesses, flog them with eighty stripes, and reject their testimony forever, they indeed are the Fasiqoon (liars, rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

( سورة النور , An-Noor, Chapter #24, Verse #4)

Sis , I hope they are not spreading any serious lies against you like this . anyway , keep praying , InshaAllah everything will be ok.

I can't...I don't know what to do.
My friend trusts me but her family told her not to see me anymore, and i'm afraid that they will spread this lie among the people in my village.. If that will happen everyone will see me as a very jealousy and evil person.. and I will have trouble finding a husband...

I can't do much except to put my trust in Allah. I keep telling myself it's a test from him of my patience, but sometimes I break down and think that I'm not strong enough.. I wish I had this faith that will keep me calm! that's why i turned to you guys, maybe your words will make me stronger.
Reading the Quran seems to do the trick so far :) It's a great cure for distress. But it seems like other than that i can't function well- in my studies or work. I need to have a stronger faith.

They didn't say that I was with a guy Alhamdulilah..but the lies are enough to ruin my image as an honorable person..

chances are that if the truth won't be revealed, i will stay single forever..imsad

I'm happy that Ramadan is so close, maybe Allah will do justice with me then, Inshallah.
jazaka allahu khairan to you all! Pray for me .

Wa`alaykum salaam wa rahmatuLlaah sister,

May Allaah :arabic2: grant you beautiful patience and strength to get through this. Aameen.

Hold onto the fact that Allaah :arabic2: Knows you are innocent of the evil they are spreading about you.

And know that justice will be done.

On Yaum ul Qiyaamah when they will face their Creator, they will be asked about the lies they would spread about you. They will have to answer.

Sister, complain to your Rabb, seek solace in 'ibaadah.

I have similar people who do similar things like this in my life. Please, don't let it tear you apart, don't let it break you.

It is ovewhelming and scary to think that their lies can put so many people against you. But Know that even if the whole world teamed together to harm you, they couldn't except by Allaah's :arabic2: Will.

Keep strong my sister *hug*

thank you sister! jazaka allahu khairan
i saw what u wrote before and when i left i kept reflecting on what you said..
Allah knows that i'm innocent and he will do justice with me.
today i woke up and decided that i will put all my trust in Allah.
"remember me and i will remember you" He said. And i woke up thinking of him and went through the day thinking of him and decided that i will forgive the liers cause that's what Allah wants us to do.
and now the peace i'm feeling inside me is amazing.
this experience made me a better person, since i promised to my self to never ever slander OR to let anyone near me do it. I'm closer to Allah and my patience will inshallah benefit me.
Alhamdulilah.

Be patient. On the Day of Judgment, those who have backbitten against you will be called to account and you will take a portion of their good deeds in compensation. If they have no good deeds left, then you will unload some of your bad deeds onto their scale.

Allah is Most Just and Most Merciful.

Allah, the Exalted, says:

"And backbite not one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.'' (49:12)

"And follow not (O man, i.e., say not or do not or witness not) that of which you have no knowledge. Verily, the hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those ones will be questioned (by Allah).'' (17:36)

"Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it).'' (50:18)

Alhamdulilah.
AlhamduliLlaahi Rabbil`aalameen. I am very happy for you my sister, that you were able to feel peace. Indeed Allaah :arabic2: is with the patient.

If this experience has brought you closer to your Rabb and taught you the evils of slandering and backbiting, alhamduliLlaah.

A painful life that draws you closer to your Rabb is better than a life of happiness that causes you to neglect your duties and forget your Rabb.

The dunya's only temporary- alhamduliLlaah, right?!

Wa iyyaaki sis. May Allaah :arabic2: grant us all true wealth- contentment. Aameen.

thank you sister Pk :) inshallah.

rpwelton and Misz_Muslimah, thank you both:)
it did make me feel better knowing that Allah despises it that much.
i'm working on putting all my trust in Him and knowing that He's doing what's best for me.

that is so true!... though hard for me to grasp sometimes. but as i said, working on it!:)
i'm jealous of the true believers that are so self confident no matter what tribulations come their way. Inshallah i'll be one of them someday. inshallah we will all.
Inshallah, after this temporary world, i'll meet you all brothers and sisters in Janna, to thank you again - in person!
just a little suffering for 80+- years to go into the best of places, right? :P
Jazaka allahu khairan

Maybe reading the story of Maryam (Isa's peace be upon him mother) from the Qur'an could help you.
