Islamic recommends that we should NOT delay getting married unnecessarily... Islamic countries thus have trend of having children at earlier age, comparatively... "West" & "westernized" in general tend to marry late & have children late, comparatively...

Increasing age is related to increased incidence of birth defects in newborns,,, This is especially true about
"Maternal Age"...
Mother's age has more to do with birth abnormalities due to the fact that ALL the eggs in ovaries are formed when baby girl is developed in her mother's womb... While sperms start to form after a boy reaches puberty...
Say,,, if a woman is 30 years old,,, then DNA in her eggs was made 30+ years back & has been lying still inside eggs for all this time,,,
On the other hand DNA in sperm of a 30 year old man formed in last few days...
Since DNA in eggs has been lying for many years, so it's more prone to developing defects that can lead to abnormalities in her baby...
