Just felt like bringing em up for those who r new or might have missed......
================================================== =====
Quran:86:5:"So let the man consider from what he is created.. 6:He is created from a fluid emitted. 7: proceeding from between the backbone and the rib. 8:Surely He(Allah) is able to bring him back (to life). 9:On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out.

A structure called "Intermediate mesoderm" is formed on each sides of vertebral column(spine).
Then it differentiates into 3 parts:-

1>"Pronephros" on each side of spine of NECK(neck region) of developing baby(embryo). It dissolves off & does NOT make any important structure in fully developed human baby.

2>"Mesonephros"(pic) is part of "intermediate mesoderm" between spine & ribs (thoracic region)on each side. It develop lots of tubules(pic) which later form testes. & sperms r formed in these tubules. Then testes migrates(proceeds) downwards from here to it's final place , scrotum. In some premature babies testes r un-descended completely & r found in abdomen & have to b surgically corrected.

3>"Metanephros" is part of "intermediate mesoderm" on each side of abdominal spine of developing baby.It also form tubulus & develop into kidneys. Kidneys r in pelvis of developing baby. Then they ASCEND to reach final position in upper abdomen.

These embryological stages have been discovered in recent past. & Allah's book indicated towards it 1400+ years ago.

Quran:86:5:"So let the man consider from what he is created.. 6:He is created from a fluid emitted. 7: proceeding from between the backbone and the rib. 8:Surely He(Allah) is able to bring him back (to life). 9:On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out.

(that is; He can duplicate the same processes of development again)

================================================== ==

Right upper rounded ball is testes & Left upper rounded ball is ovary while Grey Mushroom-Like oval masses on lower side are KIDNEYS. Kidneys are formed in pelvis & then ascendLink to abdomen while Testes & ovaries form in Chest Region & then descend to scrotum & pelvis respectively.

[86:5] Now let human but think from what he is created![86:6] He is created from a drop emitted-[86:7] Proceeding from(indicate site of origin of gonads) between the backbone and the ribs:

So Sperm forming cells & eggs are from chest region of developing baby(embryo)

You can see "mesonephros" lying under ribs in picture below:-This mesonephros becomes testes in baby-boy & ovaries in baby-girls:-

Other explaination given by many is also true...... that testes receives it's blood supply from testicular(Gonadal) arteries that originate b/w ribs & backbone on each side of backbone.... & the "fluid emitted" is formed from that blood.

Look for "Gonadal" Artery:-

I showed some people the verse and they said that in fact muscles develop before (or at the same) the bones.

So what's wrong ?

Bones r bones whether formed of plastic, metal, calcium compound or cartilage. Right!!!!

Many CARTILAGE bones r formed before muscles r wraped. These r called "Long Bones" or "Endochondral Bones". Like Femur(Thigh Bone), Tibia & Fibula(Shin Bones), Humerous(Arm Bone), Radius & Ulna(Bones in Forearm), Hip-bones.

Cartilage-Bones look exactly like bones, only material they r made of does NOT have calcium yet.

Then these cartilage bone-models r CALCIFIED & calcium compound called Hydroxy Apatite deposits in them so final calcified-bones r formed.

While there r some bones that r formed at same time muscles r formed & NOT after muscles. These r called "flat bones" or "Membranous Bones". Like Vertebrae, scapula.

So if u believe that only calcified bones deserve to be called as "BONES" & cartilage bones don't deserve it. So that'd be taking sides unjustly.

So Quran refer to BONES made of cartilage.
Upper & Lower Limbs:-

*Cartilage Bones Begin to form in Week-5 & Completed in week-6.
*Cartilage bones begin to deposit calcium in them(ossify) in Week-6 & this ossification goes on even after birth.
*Muscle forming tissue begins to condense around ossifying-cartilage bones in week-7, & this condensed mass later splits to form individual muscles.

So as Quran said bones formed(week-6) & THEN muscle wrapped around(week-7)
Q:23:14:...then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh

Being medical knowledge i request mods to let following photo stay here, instead of making an issue out of it:-

=============
Whitish colored Testes DESCENDING(Proceeds from) after it's formation in chest region (betweed ribs & spine)
http://www.netterimages.com/images/v...-0550x0475.jpg
Testes on 8 weeks>>>11 weeks>>>4 lunar months>>>8 lunar months...

Though Mesonephros originates in embryos chest region, this photo shows testes little below ribcage coz, as baby's abdomen grows long, a rope (gubernaculum) attached to testes doesn't grow so it pulls testes down & testes ends up in abdomen region. Proces of baby's growth continues while that rope stays the same length..... so testes keeps coming down & down untill it ends up in scrotum.

Ovaries go through same descend but stop their journey inside pelvis

Sahih Bukhari:4:54:516: Sahih Muslim:2:462:Prophet (pbuh) recommended us to blow our nose as one of 1st things when we wake up in morning.......
Prophet said we should blow nose in morning coz devil sits in upper part of nose during night.....

Opening of "Maxillary sinus" is in upper part of nasal cavity, at the top of the sinus so there is NO drainage by gravity, rather to drain it of secretions there r hairy cells (Ciliated cells) that push the mucus up towards opening & drain it. If this opening gets clogged by mucus plug, draining is impaired & infection starts in trapped secretions.....

After long night sleep, mucus plug collects at the opening if maxillary sinus & blowing nose takes that plug off. Keeps the drain open...

Quran:2:233 & recommends mothers to mother-feed newborns.....

Other than well known psychological & bonding benefits to baby & mother, some physical benefits are:-

*Immediate mother-feed after birth releases hormone "OXYTOCIN" that causes uterine contractions thus:-
1-Uterine contractions causes placenta to come-off easily & quickly.
2-Reduces bleeding by squeezing blood vessels in uterus.i.e reduces PPH(Post-partum Hemorrhage)
3-Facilitates the Uterus to contract back to it's normal size.

*Mother-feeding causes release of "Prolactin" that opposes actions of "ESTROGENS", thus:-
4-Provides 98% effective natural contraceptive, by stopping egg release from ovaries,by preventing estrogen-spike.
5-Decreased effect of estrogen as a result of increased prolactin, decreases the risk of breast cancers.

*
6-Newborn's immune system is immature & is unable to differentiate many harmless things from truely harmful things. Like if we expose newborn to egg proteins or to pollens he might recognise these harmless things as harmful & develop reaction(allergy) against these.
Mother-feed has chemicals(antibodies) that will bind pollens/egg proteins before these come in contact with newborn's immune system. Thus lesser chances of allergies in babies.

The brother gave you the reference. You should have looked it up before accusing him. The hadith from Bukhari is:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "If anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night".

Perhaps someone can confirm this translation and source in case we both have the wrong one or a bad translation.

Thank you Dagless,, & here's the other Hadees,,,

Sahih Muslim 2:462, Abu Huraira reported: The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said. When any one of you awakes up from sleep and performs ablution, he must clean his nose three times, for the devil spends the night in the interior of his nose.

There's a thing called religious symbolism,,, this might be a case of that.

I always feel very sleepy (and lazy) when waking up for fajr in the morning, but I feel that after blowing water into my nose during ablution, all those sleepiness and laziness gone, and I do my fajr prayer without any more hesitant.

I am sure there's hikmat behind the hadith which we do not know but there's already one apparent benefit: make me fresh and ready for fajr prayer.

Islamic recommends that we should NOT delay getting married unnecessarily... Islamic countries thus have trend of having children at earlier age, comparatively... "West" & "westernized" in general tend to marry late & have children late, comparatively...

The CREATOR knows what HE has created,,, that's why emphasis on early marriage,,,

Increasing age is related to increased incidence of birth defects in newborns,,, This is especially true about "Maternal Age"...

Mother's age has more to do with birth abnormalities due to the fact that ALL the eggs in ovaries are formed when baby girl is developed in her mother's womb... While sperms start to form after a boy reaches puberty...

Say,,, if a woman is 30 years old,,, then DNA in her eggs was made 30+ years back & has been lying still inside eggs for all this time,,,
On the other hand DNA in sperm of a 30 year old man formed in last few days...
Since DNA in eggs has been lying for many years, so it's more prone to developing defects that can lead to abnormalities in her baby...

DOWN SYNDROME AND MATERNAL AGE
-
-

Researchers have established that the likelihood that a reproductive cell will contain an extra copy of chromosome 21 increases dramatically as a woman ages. Therefore, an older mother is more likely than a younger mother to have a baby with Down syndrome. ...The incidence of Down syndrome rises with increasing maternal age. Many specialists recommend that women who become pregnant at age 35 or older undergo prenatal testing for Down syndrome. The likelihood that a woman under 30 who becomes pregnant will have a baby with Down syndrome is less than 1 in 1,000, but the chance of having a baby with Down syndrome increases to 1 in 400 for women who become pregnant at age 35. The likelihood of Down syndrome continues to increase as a woman ages, so that by age 42, the chance is 1 in 60 that a pregnant woman will have a baby with Down syndrome, and by age 49, the chance is 1 in 12....

If there was process of "Survival of Fittest" aka "Natural Selection",,, we would NOT have opposite colors of spectrum growing side by side like red with purple, rathere all flowers in a locality will be ofsame color or similar like just different shades of red... We wouldn't have had fruits of diagonally opposite tastes rather they'd have been all tasted close to each other coz nature would have... selected only few resembling types to survive...

Quran:16:10-13:- It is He Who sends down rain from the sky: from it ye drink, and out of it (grows) the vegetation on which ye feed your cattle. With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes, and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought. He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the Sun and the Moon; and the Stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colours (and qualities): verily in this is a Sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah (in gratitude).
