should one wait until they are financially stable to support two people (at least potentially), or is it better to establish this status together once married?

It is better to have financial stable instead argument, harsh, and fighting later when some women are demanding. It will ruin your marriage if you have no job.

in between both i think....neither should a person be not working and expect a woman to want to marry him nor should he think he has to save up an x amounth of £ before he starts looking.
it doesnt mean he has to earn a lot either, just atleast try to support the basic needs and Allah will place barakah in earnings and marriage inshaAllah
