tawaf duas

Assalamu Alaikum


my mums eyes are getting harmed from trying to memorise dua's from a small book we have (which obviously means small print also).

If anyone has the seven dua's for tawaf and sa'ee as well as the dua's of arafat etc i would appreciate it SO MUCH!

not a picture - but a typed out one so i can increase the txt size when i print it out.


I looked and looked but to no avail.



Please someone help, and I will certainly remember you during Hajj :)

im not sure about the 7 duas of tawaf (?) but here is something i did find concerning the supplications of tawaf, sa3ee and arafaat...btw, these are taken from minhaaj ul-Muslim. is it ok if they aren't in Bangla and that (i dont think) that they are from the hanifi mathhab?

note: these are all sunnah practices (as opposed to obligatory)
Tawaf:
1) What to say when beginning the first circuit to:
بسم الله، الله أكبر اللهم إيمانا بك وتصديقا بكتابك ووفاء بعهدك واتباعا لسنة نبيك محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم

(Bismillah, allah akbar. Allahumma eemaanan bika wa tasdeeqan bi-kitaabika, wa wafaa2an bi3ahdika, wat-tibaa3an lisunnati nabiyyika, Muhammad sallahu aleyhi wa sallam)

(with the Name of Allah, Allah is th Most Great. O allah with faith in You, and beileif in Your Book, and fulfillment of your promise and following the Sunnah of your Prophet, Muhammad, sallahu aleyhi wa sallam).

2)Making supplications During Tawaf, and it is not limited or specified (to any particular supplication). Rather, each person who is performing Tawaf should supplicate with whatever Allah inspires Him to say. Yet, it is Sunnah to conclude each circuit by saying:

ربنا ءاتنا في دنيا حسنة وفي الآخرة حسنة وقنا عذاب النار
Rabbana aatina fil-Dunya 7asanahtan wa fil-aakhirati 7asantan wa qina 3athaab an-naar

(Our lord give us good in this life and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of he (hell) fire)

3) Supplicating at al-Multazam after completing Tawaf. Al-Multazam is teh place that is between the door of the House (Ka3bah) and the Black Stone. This is due to ibn Abbas, doing so.

as-Sa3ee:
1)supplicating on both as-safa and al-Marwah during every trip of he sven trip between them
2) saying allahu akbar three times when deceding both as-Safa and al-Marwah during every trip. likewise, saying:
لا إاله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير لا إله إلا الله وحده صدق الله وعده ونصر عبده وهزم الأحزاب وحده
laa ilaaha illa-llah wa7daho laa shreeka lah. Lahul-Mulku wa lahul-7amdu wa huwa 3alaa kulli shay2in qadeer. La ilaha illa-laahu wah-dahu sadaqa wa3dahu wa nasara 3abdahu wa hazamal-a7zaaba wa7dah.

(There is none worthy of being worshiped except Allah alone, Who has no partner. He is the sovereignty and to Him belongs the praise, and He has power over all things. there is none worthy of being worshiped except Allah alone. he was truthful to His promise, He Helped His servant and He defeated the clans (or disbeilvers) alone)

Arafaat:
1) standing facing the Qiblah while remebering allah and making supplications at the sacred Site (al-ma3shrul-Haram or Jabal Quzah) until the sky has become yellowish and clear (just before sunsire)


i haven't been to hajj before, but i do know some people who have and gave the following feedback:
dont expect that you are in a Holy place that people are going to be holy
the carpets in the haram will distract you during prayer
done expect that you will concentrate in prayer as people around you will be coughing and sneezing, etc.
if you are taking any females with you, be careful, there are weirdo's men :exhausted imsad
people want to steal your money, so be careful with it.
be weary of "beggars"

its awfully crowed, so be patient...

sis ummulshaheed jazakIllah khair but i found and memorised those ones ages ago but i read a translation of the seven long ones for hajj/saee and the long one for arafat and the things said in those dua's are sooo amazing that to be able to say them in arabic is something we desire a huge amount.

And the scholar is not from the present time.

I added the tanween on the previous duaa....there were not much to add though. (I think what you meant by tanween is only this sign ًً )

here is the one for the sa'ee with tanween as well and they are not that much.
I recommend you to read where Duaa As-Safa said....because the one I posted in the first next paragraph are said in different positions when you begin the Sa'ee, I separated them from each other already by dots. You can find the explanation in the link I posted before.

Duaa As-Safa

إن الصفا والمروة من شعائر الله فمن حج البيت أو اعتمر فلا جناح عليه أن يطوف بهما ومن تطوع خيراً فإن الله شاكرُُ ُ عليم.
................
اللهم إني أريد أن أسعى بين الصفا والمروة سبعة أشواط سعي الحج (أو العمرة أو الحج والعمرة) لله تعالى فيسره لي وتقبله مني
...............
"الله اكبر الله اكبر ولله الحمد".

First Shawt

"الله اكبر كبيراً والحمد لله كثيراً وسبحان الله العظيم وبحمده الكريم بكرةً وأصيلاً. ومن الليل فاسجد له وسبحه ليلاً طويلاً. لا إله إلا الله وحده أنجز وعده ونصر عبده وهزم الأحزاب وحده لا شيء قبله ولا بعده يحيي ويميت وهو حي دائم لا يموت ولا يفوت أبدا. بيده الخير وإليه المصير وهو على كل شيء قدير.

"الله اكبر الله اكبر الله اكبر ولله الحمد لا إله إلا الله الواحد الأحد الفرد الصمد الذي لم يتخذ صاحبةً ولا ولداً ولم يكن له شريك في الملك ولم يكن له ولي من الذل وكبره تكبيرا. اللهم إنك قلت في كتابك المنزل "ادعوني استجب لكم". دعوناك ربنا فاغفر لنا كما أمرتنا. إنك لا تخلف الميعاد ربنا إننا سمعنا منادياً ينادي للإيمان أن آمنوا بربكم فآمنا ربنا فاغفر لنا ذنوبنا وكفر عنا سيئاتنا وتوفنا مع الأبرار. ربنا وأتنا ما وعدتنا على رسلك ولا تخزنا يوم القيامة إنك لا تخلف الميعاد. ربنا عليك توكلت وإليك أنبنا وإليك المصير ربنا اغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان ولا تجعل في قلوبنا غلاً للذين آمنوا ربنا إنك رؤوف رحيم".

"الله اكبر الله اكبر الله اكبر ولله الحمد. اللهم أني أسألك من خير ما تعلم وأعوذ بك من شر ما تعلم واستغفرك من كل ما تعلم إنك أنت علام الغيوب. لا إله إلا الله الملك الحق المبين محمد رسول الله الصادق الوعد الأمين. اللهم إني أسألك كما هديتني للإسلام أن لا تنزعه مني حتى تتوفاني عليه وأنا مسلم. اللهم اجعل في قلبي نوراً في سمعي نوراً وفي بصري نورا. رب اشرح لي صدري ويسر لي أمري أعوذ بك من شر وساوس الصدر وشتات الأمر وفتنة القبر. اللهم أني أعوذ بك من شر ما يلج في الليل ومن شر ما يلج في النهار ومن شر ما تهب به الرياح يا أرحم الراحمين. سبحانك ما عبدناك حق عبادتك يا الله. سبحانك ما ذكرناك حق ذكرك يا الله".

"الله اكبر الله اكبر الله اكبر ولله الحمد سبحانك ما شكرناك حق شكرك يا الله سبحانك ما أعلى شأنك يا الله. اللهم حبب إلينا الإيمان وزينه في قلوبنا وكره إلينا الكفر والفسوق والعصيان واجعلنا من الراشدين. اللهم قني عذابك يوم تبعث عبادك. اللهم اهدني بالهدى ونقني بالتقوى واغفر لي في الآخرة والأولى ابسط علينا من بركاتك ورحمتك وفضلك ورزقك. اللهم أني أسألك النعيم المقيم الذي يحول ولا يزول أبدا. اللهم اجعل في قلبي نوراً وفي سمعي نورا وفي بصري نورا وفي لساني نورا وعن يميني نورا ومن فوقي نورا. واجعل في نفسي نوراً وعظم لي نورا. رب اشرح لي صدري ويسر لي أمري".

"الله اكبر الله اكبر الله اكبر كبيرا والحمد لله كثيرا. اللهم حبب إلي الإيمان وزينه في قلبي وكره إلي الكفر والفسوق والعصيان واجعلني من الراشدين. اللهم اختم بالخيرات آجالنا وحقق بفضلك آمالنا وسهل لبلوغ رضا لك سبلنا وحسن في جميع الأحوال أعمالنا. يا منقذ الغرقى يا منجي الهلكى. يا شاهد كل نجوى يا منتهى كل شكوى. يا قديم الإحسان يا دائم المعروف. يا من لا غنى بشيء عنه. ولابد لكل شيء منه. يا من رزق كل شيء عليه ومصير كل شيء إليه اللهم أني عائذ بك من شر ما أعطيتنا ومن شر ما منعتنا. اللهم توفنا مسلمين والحقنا بالصالحين غير خزايا ولا مفتونين. رب يسر ولا تعسر. رب أتمم لنا بالخير. إن الصفا والمروة من شعائر الله فمن حج البيت أو اعتمر فلا جناح عليه أن يطوف بهما ومن تطوع خيرا فإن الله شاكر عليم."

When you finish the sa'ee duaa

ربنا تقبل منا وعافنا واعف عنا وعلى طاعتك وشكرك أعنا وعلى غيرك لا تكلنا وعلى الإيمان والإسلام الكامل جمعاً توفنا وأنت راض عنا. اللهم ارحمني بترك المعاصي أبداً ما أبقيتني وارحمني أن أتكلف ما لا يعنيني وأرزقني حسن النظر فيما يرضيك عني يا أرحم الراحمين."

bhai, i've been looking thru my books and in the 'guide to hajj, umrah and visiting the prophet's mosque' which i believe the saudis give you on arrival at jeddah airport, it mentions in the section 'errors committed by prilgrims' and i quote "7. saying specific formulas of supplications for each circuit. the prophet may the peace and blessings of allah be upon him, did not sppecify any supplications except the saying of ALLAHU AKBAR when he reached the black stone , and at the end of each circuit between the yemeni corner and the black stone he used to say: rabbana aatina fid dunya hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan wa qina adhaaban naar"

'a manual of the rites of hajj' also states "du'aa, dhikr and asking for forgiveness should be increased during the tawaaf... there is no specific type or limit to the number of du'aa in the tawaaf. one who specifies for every tawaaf or sa'ee special prayers, is doing so without any basis"

but in my other book, 'handbook for hajj and umrah' it says "there are no specific prayers to be recited during tawaaf ... however the prayers most often recited can be found in chapter 6" and chapter 6 has the du'as that are recited for each circuit so if u still want them, i can scan them for u.

but i advise u to look further into this issue because there seems to be some sort of difference of opinion regarding the matter. if the prophet peace be upon him didnt recite them, should we be?

believe me im following more then just a handful of scholars sis. And ive been in their presence long enough to know their love for islam and adherence to sunnah.

Infact just today one of them (A teacher of Darul Hadis Latifia) mentioned that they are translating more and more works to clarify these issues which plague the minds of many young muslims. Most hadith books are arabic/urdu/bengali etc that they read so its hard for us to read the daleel.


Believe me sis... ive researched a crazy amount on this. And i know there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with reciting a formulised dua if a pious person once recited it and if it says nothing but good. And i intend to do just that after the sunnah of course.

For example is it wrong to recite the dua of abu hanifah which he mentioned after he saw the ka'ba first time ("Oh Allah let every dua i recite here after be n accepted dua"), likewise the other dua's are also valid as long as they conform with islam !

personally, the way i see it, whatever du'as u make bhai, so long as it comes from the heart and its sincere, u cant go wrong. :)

I agree that according to the sunnah there are no fixed duaas for each circuit. I also agree that if there is a duaa in a book that you like, you can read that too. The problem is that people get so hung up on books, and what's for which circuit, that they often end up just reading Arabic from a book, and might not know the meaning of what they are reading.

It's far better to praise Allah and make any du'aas personal to you that you want to make. You can make them in your own language too. This is your time for your communication with your Rabb in His house. Whatever you say to him or ask from Him should be deeply meant, come from the depths of your heart, and ideally you should know what you are saying. If that means it being in your own language, so be it.
