I have inherited some land in pakistan left to me by my father 10 years ago but it is not actually in my possession as my family are not releasing it to me. I wanted to sell it and pay my debts but do I have to pay zakat on the land now?

Also do I have to pay zakat if i have debts?

What should I do in this situation. Can they stop me from selling it islamically?
