Assalaamu alaikum all,

This thread is for all haramain lovers and all things to do with the haramain (apart from imams lol, for which there is a wonderful sticky :) ).

If anyone is going for hajj or umrah and would like to ask a question from the seasoned haajs/mu'tamirs amongst the forum, then please feel free to do so. Practical issues such as: What to take, We're staying in xyz hotel, anyone know how far it is? Where's the best place to eat near xyz? Can I get a wheelchair in the harams etc? Where's the nearest entrance to so and so? How long is it from Jeddah to Makkah? Any travel tips? etc, etc, etc. Or perhaps you simply want to know what to expect.

You know all that kind of practical stuff that you didn't know who to ask. There's a whole community here so hopefully somebody should be able to help.

You can ask for, and give, advice and tips.

Anyone who knows the answer to a particular question, please feel free to answer.

Or perhaps you have just returned, or went a while back, and would like to share your experiences/memories with others.

Even if you are not going or can't go...or just want to know what its like...fire away!

Please do not feel ignored if no one answers your question. It probably means that no one knows the answer!

Jazaakumullahu khair.

Assalaamu alaikum

P.S. What's the current state of demolition/construction, from anyone that's just returned?

Assalamu Alaikum,

Thanks for your important tips. Sometimes you will find it difficult to book your chosen hotel, restaurants or necessary wheel chair by yourself. Those who are experienced can refer to some media or can act as media to do it. Please refer some dependable person, media to make the first hajj, Umrah easy or, refer to a dependable source. Insahallah Allah will give you better return.
