With God's grace, "Pathway Institute for Foundation Sciences" has been launched to be the first resort on the Internet for anyone who wishes to start their acquisition of Sharia-related knowledge with a proper methodology and on sound bases. This is achieved by providing the basics of Sharia-related sciences.
Pathway institute is considered to be the first electronic institution to provide free educational material specifically designed and developed for distance self-learning with Web 2.0 philosophy, in the area of Sharia-related studies on a website.
The institute will continuously develop and update all of the services it provides and add new services that will always keep it at the forefront in the field of remote provision of Sharia-related knowledge, while maintaining suitability with the requirements and future aspirations of learners.
In its first stage, the Pathway Institute provides a free foundation Sharia-related education program of Islamic studies in Arabic and English. The program comprises the following five themes:
• Belief Theme: This section presents an introduction to Islamic belief and its most prominent characteristics, common features, learning sources, the emergence of differences in beliefs and its most important causes. Followed by, a detailed study of the six pillars of Iman, studying believes which belong to a number of religions, religious schools and sects
• History Theme: This section presents an introduction to the importance of studying Seerah (life of the prophet), its main sources, and how to gain a benefit from it. Followed by, studying the main events which faced the mission of the Prophet Salla Allah Aleihi wa Sallam, and how to make use of Seerah jurisprudence nowadays
• Jurisprudence Theme: This section presents briefly the existence of the juristic schools and the reasons of distinction between jurists. Then, it presents a detailed study of Fiqh of worship (practical aspects of Islam), some important sides of Islamic transaction and Family law
• Quran and Sunnah Theme: This section focuses on the importance of the scripts of the two inspirations, their authority. Confirming that they are the main source of knowledge in Islam (terms of belief, regulations, and morals [ethics]). Followed by, an analytical study of selected scripts from the Holly Qu’ran and the purified Sunnah
• Skills Theme: This section presents some morals and skills expected to be known by the fresh religious student in distance learning. It includes the ethics of seeking Islamic knowledge, social communication skills, distance learning and thinking skills as well

The site allows you to study these subjects in various forms and patterns as follows:
• iBook: It is a product which allows the interactive visitor to establish an interactive content in the form of e- book consists of sections and educational pages, this let the other interactive visitors deal with the content in different shapes and patterns. They can comment, modify and assess this content. Moreover, they can use the self- assessment question as well as the other activities.

• eDoc: It is a product which allows the interactive visitor to upload the content in the form of an e- file, it can be viewed by the other visitors and get the best of it.
The site also allows you to interact with the content in various forms and patterns as follows:

تم بفضل الله تعالى انطلاق "معهد الصراط للعلوم التأسيسية" ليكون الملاذ الأول على الإنترنت لكل من يريد أن يبدأ طريقه لطلب العلم الشرعي بمنهجية منضبطة وعلى أسس قوية, عن طريق تقديم أساسيات العلوم الشرعية.
ويعتبر معهد الصراط هو أول مؤسسة إلكترونية تقوم بتوفير مواد تعليمية مجانية تم تصميمها وتطويرها بشكل يتناسب مع خصائص الدارسين عن بعد بأسلوب التعلم الذاتي باستخدام فلسفة Web 2.0, في مجال العلوم الشرعية على موقع إلكتروني عبر شبكة الإنترنت.
وسيستمر المعهد في تطوير وتجديد كل ما يقدمه من خدمات مع إضافة خدمات جديدة تجعله دائما له السبق في مجال تقديم العلم الشرعي عن بعد, بما يتناسب مع متطلبات الدارسين ورغباتهم المستقبلية.
يوفر معهد الصراط في "مرحلته الأولى" برنامج تعليمي شرعي تأسيسي مجاني في الدراسات التأسيسية باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية يتكون من 5 محاور, وهي:
• محور الفقه: يعرض هذا المحور بإيجاز لنشأة المدارس الفقهية، وأسباب خلاف الفقهاء. ثم يعرض لدراسة تفصيلية لفقه العبادات (أركان الاسلام العملية) وجملة مهمة من المعاملات وفقه الأسرة.
• محور التاريخ: يعرض هذا المحور لمدخل في أهمية دراسة السيرة النبوية، وأهم مصادرها، ومنهج الاستفادة منها. يليه استعراض لأهم الأحداث التي مرت بها دعوة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وكيفية الاستفادة من فقه السيرة في واقعنا المعاصر.
• محور العقيدة: يعرض هذا المحور لمدخل في أهمية العقيدة، وأبرز خصائصها، ومصادر تلقيها ونشأة الاختلاف في العقائد وأهم أسبابه. يتبع ذلك دراسة تفصيلية لأركان الايمان الستة. يليها دراسة عقائد جملة من الأديان والفرق والمذاهب.
• محور القرآن والسنة: يعرض هذا المحور لمدخل يلقي الضوء على أهمية نصوص الوحيين وحجيتهما والتأكيد على كونهما المرجع الرئيس للمعرفة في الإسلام (أبواب العقائد والأحكام والآداب). يلي ذلك، دراسة تحليلية لنصوص مختارة من القرآن الكريم والسنة المطهرة.
• محور المهارات: يعرض هذا المحور لجملة من الآداب والمهارات المتوقع الإلمام بها من المبتدئ في طلب العلم الشرعي في الدراسة عن بعد. تشمل آداب طلب العلم ومهارات التواصل الاجتماعي والدراسة عن بعد وجملة من مهارات التفكير.
يتيح لك الموقع دراسة هذه المحاور بأشكال وأنماط مختلفة, وهي:
• كتاب تفاعلي: عبارة عن منتج يتيح للزوار المتفاعلين إنشاء محتوى تفاعلي على شكل كتاب إلكتروني مكون من أقسام وصفحات تعليمية تتيح لباقي الزوار التفاعل مع المحتوى بأشكال وأنماط مختلفة من استخدام الأنشطة التفاعلية من تعليق وتعديل وتقييم بجانب الاستعانة بأسئلة التقويم الذاتي وغيرها من الأنشطة الأخرى.
• وثيقة اليكترونية: عبارة عن منتج يتيح للزوار المتفاعلين رفع محتوى على شكل ملف إلكتروني يستطيع باقي الزوار استعراضه والاستفادة بما به من معلومات.
