the Indian Muslims started 24/7 restaurants in Penang island in the 80s, now there are hundreds (or thousands) of those restaurants on every town in Malaysia... then in 2000s, McDonald's and KFC also opened several 24/7 restaurants...
The Thai Muslims opened their restaurants from 5pm - 5am...
so, you can wake up in the middle of the night, drive to the nearest restaurant and eat good meal in Malaysia.

in my country, people can talk about food for hours... instead of asking "How are you?" we usually ask "Have you eaten?"...
that what happened when your nation is surrounded by great food nations like China, India, Thailand and Indonesia... and colonised by the Europeans and Japanese.

Well... I detected something in that forum... there are few people who are the "batu api" (firestarters) from both side and they used loads of usernames as if people from both nations are really hating each others... these people want both countries to become losers... you cant heal satans...

Since this became a welcome back and food thread;D....I should ask....do ya'll have Lucky Charms cerial in Malaysia? I am having a bowl right now....ummmm, ummmm...good:D
Not sure if anyone else has ever heard of this. My Nonna(grandmother) brought a recipe for rice back with her from Italy (Rice is HUGE in Italy, didn't know that did you?) she would boil or steam rice then seperate it and bake it, after drying it would be like a cerial, we would add sugar or other ingrediants, poor milk or a Gee like substance on it and enjoy:D
We also put strawberry jam on rice and sometimes sugar. We also have a version of sticky rice(desert rice) we eat with slices of mango.....ummmm mango:D
Also "Riso super caldo" or super hot rice, made with habenaro or cayenne peppers ground into powder....and a little honey...i know it sounds weird, but it's really good!....you better have a strong gut though;D
