do you when someone tells you that such and such is halaal/haram and you dislike that person, do you find yourself not taking heed to what they are saying or at the least feel reluctant to. i try to seek knowledge from people i like and all but even then sometimes when someone you dislike tells you something, it puts you off and leads you to arrogance :(
does anyone else feel the same? how do i overcome this. i mean the arrogance part.

No, I think you should seek useful knowledge from wherever, learn to put your emotions at bay for the sake of the greater good!

remember the hadith about the prophet (p) of even learning the language of the enemy shall save you their devising against you!

What i do in such cases is When i am hearing something like that i stop thinking and i note it down or remember.May be after sometime when i analyze i realise what he said was right. Try this it might help
